Maureen Anderson - one of the hosts shares a little of her grief journey by @the_kitchen_table66

So … I’ve been recording some of my journal entries from last year when my parents passed 🙏🏾 - gosh! The power of the written word. No shame in my tears - journaling is my thing ✍🏾#thekitchentable🙏🏾 @ubeleinitiative @yanroll #itsoktocry👵🏽 #safeandemotional #imgoodthanks💜 #askmaureenthatsme😉 by @the_kitchen_table66

🙏🏾🕊️ My school friend @bryony_the_soul_calling of 46/47 years 🤔 passed away on Wednesday morning after a short yet aggressive illness. This photo was taken last year September (we went to a soul weekender 🪩) and she was her usual vibrant, funny, loving and encouraging self. We saw each other a couple of times this year - my visit to see her and enjoy her new home including pink bathroom and then her visit to see me for lunch in London - we had become friends who’d travel over 100 miles just for lunch and a catch up - we felt that if we couldn’t do it now then when would we. She celebrated the news of my new grandchild born around her own birthday and then she messaged me about 4 weeks ago to tell me about her cancer diagnosis and treatment, she voice messaged me about a week or so ago sounding positive and then … a shocked message informing us that she was dying. Suffice to say we’re devastated but that’s our feelings. As well as a spiritual guide, a transformational coach, Bryony was also a pragmatist and wouldn’t want tears of regret as she knows the impact she had on those she loved and who loved her. She’d want us to continue living our best lives with hope, peace and joy. She leaves behind the most precious people her life including her son Alex, her daughter Molly and her step sons Karl and Ali and her granddaughter and her sisters. 🫂💜🫂🕊️ She lives on in our hearts and in our conversations 🕊️ #59YearsYoung #RIEP👑🕊️✨ by @the_kitchen_table66

Six years ago you took your last breath, silently whilst I was in the room with dad, siblings and children all around you did not panic, gasp or rattle - you simply made your exit with dignity and grace.
Rest in everlasting peace mum 🕊️ there’s so many things that have happened since. More loss but ultimately more joy and proudly all your children have found their own way of navigating your passing. Whilst you are in our thoughts today you’re never out of conversations with siblings, grandchildren and great grandchildren. You live on in us 👑 #ToriesLiedPeopleDied #NeverForgetLockdownUK2020 #MumAndDadRIP2020 by @the_kitchen_table66

@awomanschoice Natalie’s book is out and ready for you to read her story. It focuses on raising awareness of Premature Ovarian Insufficiency (POI) and the support women need, and published by @bythebookpress

Launching 📒 at The Boat House 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 #PerfectConnection😊

‘The book offers a personal and candid account of entering menopause early, addressing the emotional and physical realities, the lack of medical support, and the journey of navigating a life with POI’

This is not an academic text but 1. A book for you if you find yourself questioning erratic, unpredictable symptoms 2. If you’re a parent of a teenager 3. a partner of someone struggling with menstruation/unspoken concerns about fertility 4. A medic who wants to do better for their patients

It’s an invaluable learning aide for medics on many levels and an invaluable book raising awareness of menopause that rewrites assumptions on age. Natalie - we are so very proud of you 👑👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾💐 #menopause #menopausematters #prematureovarianinsufficiency #infertility by @the_kitchen_table66

It’s been five years since my father passed and became an ancestor (5.7.20). This video was taken by me as one of the last images of him - on Father’s Day 2020 as I was about to leave to return home (you’ll remember my mother had died four weeks previous 🙏🏾). I gave my dad this sensory toy so that he was reminded of touch and had an alternative texture aside from his blanket or the touching/pulling of his face or ears, or the personal care touches - I gave it to him as something he was in control of during his last few weeks🫂. I’ll always miss my dad ‘Charles’ #CallTheirName👑 for his wisdom and openness, for him being unapologetic and humble, as an elder my dad was able to apologise and facilitate healing through listening and saying #SorryTheHardestWord - my dad always asked two questions of me to ensure all was well with my world - I miss those questions but I’m pleased to say the answers are and have always been ‘Yes’ 🤸🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️🤸🏾‍♀️ #RespectfulFamily #FinancialSecurity #RIEPDaddy✊🏾👑 #Ancestor💫 by @the_kitchen_table66

RIEP mum 👑 Five Years today you passed away, quietly in your sleep. Although life continues, we’re getting through the twists and turns of life, pain and joy 🤷🏾‍♀️ they’ll always be a gap, a space that only you could fill. A sacred place where events are shared silently like a prayer - the ‘mum if you were here… I’d share this, give you that, listen to this song, I’d tell you all about the great grand children or … my favourite - let’s have a hot chocolate before bed with some Wray and Nephew 🇯🇲 … a double shot 😂😂😂 - Gone in body remembered every day 🙏🏾 by @the_kitchen_table66
