Did you know your favourite movie and gaming soundtracks were born right here in London? 🎬🎶

Behind every epic film moment or intense boss battle is a world-class orchestra and incredible classical composition.

From Hans Zimmer’s mind-bending Shepard tones in The Dark Knight to Howard Shore’s massive Wagnerian leitmotifs in The Lord of the Rings, and the sweeping orchestral power powering Elden Ring and Dark Souls—London’s scoring stages (like Abbey Road and AIR Studios) are where cinematic history is recorded.

Classical music isn't just in the concert hall—it’s powering modern media, film, and gaming.

At The Purcell School, our young musicians learn composition, orchestration, and performance to prepare for careers across classical, film, and media music.
