Our sissy girl is 6 months old!! 🥹💕

The time has gone by so fast, yet so much has happened in these past 6 months. Watching our girl grow, learn, and get stronger each day has been such a journey, and we couldn’t be prouder of her!

🎀 Saige’s 6-month update:

Saige is getting stronger every day and gaining more head control! She’s rolling all over and absolutely loves being on her belly. She even prefers sleeping on her belly, which makes this mama nervous with her breathing struggles. She’s still working on bringing her arms forward and learning how to use them to support herself.

She’s now in outpatient therapy twice a week for OT and PT and once a week for speech. Her first cardiology appointment is this Thursday, followed by another visit with her physiatrist next week.

Saige isn’t really babbling yet, keeps her little hands in fists quite a bit, and still struggles with bottle feeding. She typically takes about 4 ounces every 2.5 hours and continues to have some choking and aspiration during feeds. She’s now seeing a GI specialist and dietitian for her slow weight gain. We’re taking things one day at a time and celebrating every little victory!

She’s around 12 pounds, 24 inches long, and wearing 3–6 month clothes! Her tiny 14.5-inch head still makes even the smallest bows look huge on her. 😂🎀 She’s gaining weight each month, and that’s what matters!

Despite all the challenges, Saige is the happiest, easiest baby. She goes with the flow, is always smiling, and brings so much joy to everyone around her.

This week, she also met her Auntie Paige for the very first time! It was Paige’s first time visiting me in Tennessee, and they already share such a sweet bond. Paige is actually the reason we chose to spell Saige’s name the way we did, making their first meeting even more special.

Our girl has already overcome so much in six short months. We’re learning to celebrate the little things and appreciate every bit of progress along the way.

Happy 6 months to our sweet Saige girl! You are so loved, and we’re so proud of how strong you are. Your little smile makes every hard day worth it! 🤍 by @the_saige_collective

Sissy girl is 5 months old today! 🧡

Saige is almost 11 lbs and getting a little stronger each day! She is such a happy baby and is starting to laugh and smile more and more. She is so affectionate and loves her brother and dogs!

She will be starting outpatient therapy next week and graduating from in-home therapy! We are so excited for this new adventure, but it is definitely bittersweet saying goodbye to the therapists who have been with her and loved on her for the last few months. We are so thankful for everything they have done for our girl!

She is still drinking about 4 ounces every 2½–3 hours and isn’t quite strong enough to start spoon feeding yet, but we are working hard on her head control. She loves to roll, loves being on her tummy, and especially loves sitting outside in the fresh, warm air.

Can’t believe it’s already been 5 months with our sweet girl! We love you so much sissy. 🤍 by @the_saige_collective

A little later on Saige girl’s monthly update because we have had that awful stomach sickness this week, but Saige turned 4 months on Monday!

She is continuing occupational, physical, and speech therapy weekly and is getting stronger each day! At her 4 month check-up, she weighed 9 lbs 14.5 oz and is still in 0–3 month clothes. She is gaining weight consistently and growing on her own path, but she is still very small.

We are working on head control and getting her to track toys and reach for them more. Saige rolls pretty consistently now and absolutely loves tummy time! She holds her head up really well during tummy time, but she is still working on holding it up when sitting upright.

She is smiling and laughing more and is such a mama’s girl. She is the sweetest, most loving little girl and absolutely loves her brother too! Watching her grow stronger every month is such a blessing. 💕🥰 by @the_saige_collective

The story behind the name 🤍

Saige Collective was created from a place I never expected.

When my daughter Saige entered the world, our lives changed in ways we could have never imagined. She was born with Cri du Chat syndrome, and while we are learning a new path filled with appointments, therapies, and uncertainty, she reminds us every day what strength, beauty, and purpose look like.

I wanted to create something that carried her name and her story. Something meaningful that could celebrate the little moments, preserve memories, and become a reminder that every person’s story is worth cherishing.

That’s how Saige Collective was born. ✨

A collection of personalized jewelry and keepsakes made to hold onto the moments that matter most!

A portion of Saige Collective’s proceeds will be donated to support Cri du Chat research and families impacted by this rare condition.

Thank you for being here at the beginning of this story. I’ve been working quietly behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to share what I have been creating. by @the_saige_collective

Sissy girl is 3 months old today!

The last week Saige has really started to show her personality more. She smiled and laughed for the first time this week and also started following things with her eyes side to side!

She is in Physical Therapy as well as Speech Therapy once a week and is starting to do better with eye contact. She has been eating really well so we are extremely grateful for that!
Next week is her physiatrist appt at Children’s Hospital and we just met with the genetic specialist a couple weeks ago. She will go back to him in a year to see how she is hitting milestones.

Jayce is the best big brother ever and loves his sissy so much! He is such a big help with her already 💗 by @the_saige_collective

New season. New dreams. New beginnings. ✨

I’ve been working behind the scenes on something special, and I’m so excited to finally start sharing it with you.

Stay tuned… 🤍 by @the_saige_collective

After a lot of thought, I’ve made the decision to not return to doing hair for the time being.

This chapter will always mean so much to me, but right now my heart and focus need to be at home with Saige and her needs.

I’m so grateful for everything this career has given me. I don’t see this as goodbye to hair forever, just a new chapter and I’m so excited for what’s coming next!

Stay tuned 🤍 by @the_saige_collective
