At London Dock in the heart of the City of London, we hosted an exclusive evening with Suntory Whisky and The Spirits Club—created not only for whisky lovers, but for those who recognise whisky as a tangible long-term investment asset.

A rare chance for investors to experience first-hand the very bottles in which their capital rests: a tasting that became a confirmation of quality, rarity, and collectability—because in this world, value is defined by scarcity.

The line-up featured true icons: Laphroaig 36 Archive Collection, Hakushu 18 Peated, Hibiki 21, Bowmore 29, and the unforgettable Laphroaig 33 “Strong Character.”

When whisky reaches this level, it is no longer just a spirit—it becomes time in liquid form, a legacy asset, and a disappearing piece of global heritage.

Karuizawa 1973, Cask nr. 4799 - The Golden Age of Showa series

Some collectibles are more than objects. They are fragments of history.

🏆 Only 103 pieces worldwide.

Dating back to 1973 and preserved for 47 years before its 2020 release, this exceptional piece from the legendary Karuizawa legacy represents a remarkable chapter in Japanese heritage.

Why collectors take notice:
▪️ Historical significance: A legacy that can no longer be recreated.
▪️ Extreme scarcity: Just 103 examples worldwide.
▪️ Distinctive provenance: A unique single-cask origin.
▪️ Collectible potential: A combination of rarity, heritage and limited availability that makes it particularly compelling for discerning collectors.

📈 Scarcity defines the opportunity. Provenance defines the value.

For serious collectors, acquiring exceptional pieces is about more than ownership: it is about preserving a legacy and recognising the significance of objects that become increasingly difficult to find.

Only 103 exist. Will one have a place in your collection?

Discover exceptional collectibles with The Spirits Club.

The market for high-value collectibles is dominated by rare and exclusive spirits, with The Spirits Club emerging as a leading international player in the sector.

An article published by Adnkronos highlights the Club’s latest collection, made possible by the acquisition of one of Laphroaig’s oldest casks. Aged for 37 years, it will give birth to approximately 300 bottles worldwide, of which just 40 will be available in Italy.

Auchentoshan Distillery — an experience that nourishes both knowledge and heart.

Stepping inside a distillery is stepping into a world where heritage, craftsmanship and time come together.

Every detail tells a story. Every visit adds a new layer of knowledge. And every story becomes part of the heritage we choose to preserve.

For a collector, the journey behind a bottle can be just as meaningful as the bottle itself.

Knowledge. Heritage. Provenance. A passion built over time.

Wave è tutto questo ! by @the_spirits_club

Japanese craftsmanship. Global recognition. Long-term collectability.

Japanese whisky has established a distinctive place within the world of rare spirits, driven by heritage, limited availability and growing recognition among international collectors.

For a carefully built collection, exceptional Japanese releases such as The Hakushu 25 can represent more than a remarkable bottle: they can become part of a long-term portfolio of scarce and culturally significant collectibles.

Rarity, provenance and condition matter. And, over time, the most sought-after pieces can see their market value appreciate as availability becomes increasingly limited.

A collectible shaped by time — and designed to remain relevant for generations.

Some bottles are meant to be remembered.

This Balvenie 50 was opened for an exclusive tasting. This is one of 88 bottles ever produced - that’s how rarity becomes scarcity!

For collectors, moments like this reveal what makes exceptional spirits different: provenance, scarcity, craftsmanship and heritage.

At The Spirits Club, we look beyond the bottle itself. We focus on rare physical assets with a documented history and a place within a carefully considered collection.

Rarity is not created by marketing. It is created by time.

An evening where passion, competition and a shared purpose came together.

The charity auction with Equal Measures at Nancy’s Cocktail Bar was a memorable gathering of collectors, industry professionals and friends — with plenty of conviviality, a little healthy competition and some truly exceptional collectibles going under the hammer.

But behind the excitement was something far more important.

Equal Measures works to support marginalised groups and individuals, creating greater opportunities for people from Black, Asian and other minority ethnic communities, neurodivergent individuals and others facing systemic barriers to career progression.

Through its Education & Mentorship Programme and touring Forming Foundations programme, Equal Measures provides the tools, contacts and confidence needed to help the next generation build sustainable and rewarding careers in hospitality.

Its work has also received significant recognition, including the Fortnum & Mason Impact Award 2025, UnderOne’s DEI Innovation Award 2024 and The Spirits Business Ethical Award 2024, alongside support from the Gerard Basset Foundation, the National Lottery Community Fund and the Tales of the Cocktail Foundation.

For The Spirits Club, supporting this initiative went beyond simply attending the evening.

We were proud to take part in the auction, and to contribute two unique bottlings:
🥃 Highland Park 29 YO Single Cask, bottled exclusively for The Spirits Club by Gordon & MacPhail.
🥃 22 YO Guyana Enmore Single Cask, bottled exclusively for The Spirits Club by Samaroli.

Seeing collectors compete to secure some of these exceptional pieces, while knowing that every successful bid was contributing to a worthy cause, made the evening particularly special.

Rare collectibles. Great company. Healthy competition. A shared purpose.

A night we were truly proud to be part of.
