Martha - A painter, whose love for colour and shape is rooted in the ever changing compositions of Cornwall’s landscape. Spending childhood days on the north coast and now living in her home in Falmouth, Martha’s work explores her deep connection and the shifting identities of both coastlines. Rich in form and seasonal palettes, her work is always abstract and paired back, with nods to the interior spaces that surround her whilst she paints. A sense of curation is continually present within her practice, whether its the simple placing of colours on the canvas, the arrangement of objects and paintings in her home to provide subject matter for new works, or the styling of exhibitions in her family run gallery in town, Morgans. The feeling of home is where the @the_still_series began, over numerous coffees and flowing conversations. A collaboration between friends that will continue to grow. Combining a shared love for seasonality, the home, design and community into something that celebrates the beauty of thoughtful living with a slower pace. Zella - An interior designer and stylist with a love for creating spaces that feel warm, lived-in, and full of character. Born & based in Falmouth she is continually inspired by its creativity and community. Growing up in a social, neighbourly area with an always ‘open house’, Zel learned early on the value of gathering and sharing space, especially around the table. This is something that still fuels her today, and is still her favoured place to connect with others. Her creative world also includes @awildbunch_ , exploring flowers, styling, workshops and the occasional wedding—finding quiet joy in those still moments spent playing with blooms. As conversations flowed over numerous coffee stops, @the_still_series evolved. A collaboration between friends that will continue to grow. Combining a shared love for seasonality, the home, design and community into something that celebrates the beauty of thoughtful living with a slower pace. 📸 @iamlourobertson by @the_still_series
