Slopaganda, 7A+/V7

Starts on Question of Quartz boulder on the right side.

When I was spotting @bae_of_bengol on her project day before, I saw this obvious mantle problem (Fishing Slopers,V5) and then a traverse that goes leftwards to exit near "Question of Quartz" and "Answer of Quartz" from the same holds.

I cleaned the traverse and I tried it with @moto.morphosis . We figured all the moves in first session with Rishi's shin flapper off a rock under. Next session he puts up the FA and I went on doing the second ascent after him with my signature tripod mantle which uses my head. I love this Slopaganda!

The move that goes crossing into the mantle jug is one of the best moves I've ever done on the journey understanding body tension.

Result of Envy, 7C/V9, ✅, 8th Session, Second Attempt

Cross start, get the kneebar, catch the crimp with precision, left heel, left hand over the arete crystal, slide the left heel in, start swinging, right guppy in the arete cup, crank on the left heel, match left over right hand, right toe up to sustain the swing, lock upper body, establish on the foot hold, left hand up, pistol squat and move the body to the right side of the arete, catch the chicken neck, left foot smear for transition...

Now comes the hardest part for me! Topping out once before on stand start, I had known that my method works.

Left hand on crimp rail, establish feet on the face, squeeze right palm to go further left to catch a crimp, right toe hook on the arete, cross into the jug, walk your way on Campsite Surprise crimp rail to walk in a chill mantle. I think there's a direct exit possible.

Been 3 years since I laid my eyes on this route, carefully watching others, taking my own sweet time to learn moves and go full sending with Gojira send tunes thanks to Riddhiman Suri's musical assist.

@bae_of_bengol and @babo_dhc got the perfect send angles!

Thank you @dhillan_chandramowli for the FA. This one's special.

Denver Post, 7A/V6

FA: Joshua Cook

This was long due. Everything about this climb is composure and speed. The overhang triggers the pump but key for me is to not contemplate the crux throw. I did 3 seasons of sessions with so many talented climbers around me with my beta set to execute on the send go. That left hand latch in the first and final attempt today felt very intuitive. I'll take that as progress. Onto the next one...

Above & Beyond, FA, 6B/V4

📍 10 mins uphill from Wet Party and Fourth Law of Motion, Sethan

I went higher up one day just to find this sick set of three big boulders with many lines on them. This one looked a little funky but the slopy looking rail has a nice and incut crimp rail if you dig deeper. The top out is pretty textbook with hand and foot conversions.

Found me a cool 5+ in First Forest when you walk past Bhoot Picture and to the left. There's a probable 7A jump move as well to catch the lip. More problems scratched once again for easier boulders.

English Tea, Sit, 6B/V4

Sometimes my mind starts glitching on an old send when my left pulls harder than before. It's a satisfying but wierd feeling on a move. English Tea is one of those climbs where your insticts kick to the fullest. A really cool slaby test piece for it's grade.

Lioness, FA, 6B+/V4

Obvious boulder problem behind Panduropa cave in first forest close to Bhoot Picture when you're walking towards Jango's Dhaba. For a small bloc it's a mind bender. Sit fully to establish.

Science of Chai, 6C/V5

This boulder always reminds me to stay humble and respect the surroundings. Probably the most number of pads I've ever seen on a boulder so far. Two to make it real.

Dance of Heels, 7A/V6

📍 Monkey Area, Sethan

FA: @tomshampiadventures

I heard something about Dance of Heels being the hardest 7A in Sethan from Viraj Sose once. Last summer I made it to Monkey area once to try these wild heel hooks but I got shutdown for two sessions over last two seasons. Today I had a push trick up my sleeve. Two for making it real.

📍First forest behind Birds of Prey boulder in Sethan

FA by @dhillan_chandramowli

Tried this beauty over last couple of seasons but throwing to that left sloper felt low percentage and an impossible catch. Today I tried it and my right hand locked on that crimp for the first time. Then it went in one more attempt. I had forgotten about this boulder. Until we went to Birds of Prey for a session.

Since 1962, 6A/V3

Near the road at Panduropa Caves near Sethan village. Careful footwork made the layback even better. 6A for a good friction day.
