“We talkin' about PRACTICE?!” — Allen Iverson 😂🏀 YES, BABY! We talkin' about PRACTICE! I can't be out here telling y'all to rehearse, study your music, and develop your stage presence if I'm not doing the same damn thing. Everything I teach, I apply to my own craft. And trust me, there's ALWAYS something to improve. And when the budget or opportunity allows, baby, We ball for real over here! 😂💅🏾 Special shoutout to @lyriklondon who ALWAYS brings out the best in me, and his entire HAUS! I appreciate y'all! ❤️ "Practice what you preach" - Barry White by @theamorlauren
STOP GOING ONSTAGE THINKING YOU CAN JUST WING IT❗ 1. The audience can tell when you haven't rehearsed. Those awkward silences, missed cues, and moments when you look lost onstage? They notice. 2. Your lack of preparation affects your confidence. When you don't know what you're doing next, it shows in your movement, delivery, and overall performance. 3. Every performance contributes to your reputation. Promoters, venue owners, and audience members remember artists who show up unprepared. Your reputation is being built every time you step on that stage. Make sure you're giving people a reason to book you again! by @theamorlauren
HOW TO PERFORM WHEN THE CROWD IS TALKING OVER YOU❗ 1. Don't try to compete with the crowd by screaming over them. You'll only strain your voice and throw off your performance. 2. Find the people who are actually paying attention. Look for the ones watching, listening, and engaging with you. 3. Perform directly to THEM. Make eye contact, connect with them, and give them the show they came to see. Don't let a few people who aren't paying attention ruin the experience for the ones who are. by @theamorlauren

WHAT TO DO IF YOUR MIC STOPS WORKING❗ 1. Don't panic, and DON'T hit the microphone. Smacking it won't fix the problem. 😂 2. Get the attention of the sound engineer or someone who works at the venue. Ask for a backup microphone so you can get back to your performance. 3. Always have an a cappella version of your song ready to perform. If the mic or track situation can't be fixed, you can still keep the show going without the instrumental. Technical difficulties don't have to end your performance. Stay ready so you can keep it moving! by @theamorlauren
Artists, LEARN YOUR BUSINESS. 🎯 It's too many tools available for you to keep getting financially f**ked. I know it sucks having to learn new things when you'd rather be creating. But at some point, enough is enough. And let's not act like people haven't been preying on artists' lack of knowledge since the beginning of time. From shady contracts to fake opportunities, people will take advantage of what you DON'T know. You don't have to know everything overnight, but you DO need to start learning. Understand your money. Read your contracts. Research opportunities before you pay for them. Learn how the industry works. Your talent is your gift. Protecting your business is your responsibility. LEARN YOUR BUSINESS. Stop letting people profit off what you don't know. 💯 by @theamorlauren

WHY YOU NEED TO STUDY THE MUSICALITY OF YOUR MUSIC❗ If you don’t understand the musicality of your song, you’re leaving performance opportunities on the table. Knowing when the beat drops, the instruments change, or the music builds helps you create moments that make people FEEL something instead of just watching you sing or rap. Don’t just learn your lyrics. Learn your music so you can make the entire performance hit harder. Note: this is the acoustic version of my single.
