PH-AOB making one of its final touch downs on the Polderbaan coming from Lagos. - Delivered brand new to KLM in 2005, “Potsdamer Platz - Berlin” was the second Airbus A330 to join the fleet. After 21 years of faithful service, carrying thousands across oceans, it made its very last flight yesterday to Twente Airport to be dismantled. PH-AOB was one of five remaining A330s that will fade into KLM history over the coming months as they make way for the new Airbus A350. End of an era, but what a legacy. After almost 23 years, millions of miles, and endless stories told above the clouds, it’s time to say a final, heartfelt tschüss to a true icon: Lufthansa’s Airbus A340-600 🇩🇪 Today D-AIHW took off from the Frankfurt nest to Washington D.C. for the very last time as LH418. The A340-600 wasn’t just a plane. She had a soul. Whether it was welcoming us into the cockpit through unforgettable PilotsEYE journeys with Capt. Jürgen Raps, or wearing special Fanhansa colors to bring the German soccer team to Brazil in 2014. She always lived larger than life. We’ll miss that impossibly long, elegant silhouette, the quirky downstairs lavatories, and the quiet, four Rolls-Royce engine symphony carrying us through the skies. So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, adieu. Thank you for the wings, the memories, and every single skyward journey Airbus A340-600. 2003-2026 by @theamsterdamspotter

Welkom Thuis ‘De Nachtwacht’ 🇳🇱 - KLM’s 1st Airbus A350 arriving in Schiphol from factory as KL9860. As an expat who has been warmly welcomed by The Netherlands, seeing KLM’s new flagship touching down brought a real sense of national pride. It was an absolute honor to witness a chapter of the Dutch aviation history. And honestly? Skip the lines at the Rijksmuseum. The newest masterpiece in town just landed at Schiphol. ✈️ 1 down, 21 to go. Many congrats @klm by @theamsterdamspotter
D-ANCK taxiing out in Frankfurt 🇩🇪 Not gonna lie, I was not sold on the stripes when Condor first dropped them... but on the neo’s? Game changer. Over time it started to looking surprisingly aggressive and sleek. Starke Leistung @condorairlines! by @theamsterdamspotter
