I’ll never forget when I first moved to NC and this woman said to me what are you gonna do when you’re too old to Model? That was about 13 years ago. I just looked at her and said I don’t know I’ll let you know when I’m too old. When I was in Fl maybe 20 years ago there was a woman who said the same thing and that I couldn’t model forever and then I should look for other work. Of course there were other people close to me that said I should quit and get a real job and quit wasting my time. But what’s interesting is none of those people are paying my bills or actually check in on me to see how I’m doing lol. Well I’m here to tell you I’ll be 50 in February. I’m still doing this “modeling thing”. I’m in the process of still redoing my house right now that I bought from doing this modeling and acting thing. I’m going over to my daughter‘s house later who I raised by myself (to see her and my sweet grandson) doing this modeling and acting thing. And I’m flying to Florida in two weeks to be the face of a new campaign that will be coming out about menopause. I didn’t know these things were going to happen in my life. I simply stepped out in faith I had a dream of being a model when I was a kid. I did not know all the doors that would open. You cannot listen to (shitty) people and no it is not going to be easy. Nobody sees the behind-the-scenes stuff. Nobody sees the hours of auditioning and the money you spend on Website, photos, reels and traveling to and from jobs and how long it takes just to tape one audition. Nobody sees all that stuff. They only see the end product. And that’s OK. 🥰 Because I love what I do I can’t believe I still get to do this. Hey! I’m just as shocked as anyone when I booked some of these jobs. I get blown away and I never take any of it for granted I’m always very thankful for each opportunity 💖And I hope that I inspire other girls but especially women my age. You can change your body. You can change how you look. You can change how you feel about yourself. And you can do hard things. What you want is on the other side of fear. Let’s go ! 😜💖🥰🫵🏻⭐️ by @theamysimontv

OK, a few people have asked me so I just wanna leave this new video here. This is called the big 6 . It literally takes a minute. You Have to do it in order. Do this every day for 30 days and you will see your body change. Just do it every day and get back to me. Also, the hopping at the end you don’t have to do that but hopping is wonderful for your lymphatic drainage and for your circulation. If you can’t hop then do calf raises. Hold onto a wall if you need support. Then after that, literally just tap your body -tap your arms, your legs, your stomach, your butt! tap everywhere. You’ll feel the energy you’ll feel your body moving and things flowing. It’s wonderful. You have to do it for yourself to believe it. And then I’m just learning about the face tapping and the benefits of that so I’ll have to do more research on that but this stuff works. We can heal ourselves. We can heal our body. We can lose weight with a little effort and some discipline :) . If we just practice eating the right things at least 70% of the time and if you just move your body a few minutes every day. I am living proof. I’ve lost at least 15 pounds and I’m 49 years old. I’m in perimenopause. I’m a mother. I’m a grandmother. If I can do this, you can do this too and I’ve really grown to love it. I love what our body can do. And I love eating healthy now, it’s crazy. 😉 My grocery cart looks so different now than it used to just a few years ago. Sometimes I’m like is this me? Lol I never used to eat like this. But now I absolutely love it. And it’s just it changed my skin my face my body! my waist is thinner and my legs are thinner. And I know that’s not the most important thing in life. OK it’s not but I think everyone deserves to feel good about themselves. And to just feel good in general. So that’s why I’m sharing this stuff with you. Be happy. 💖 please like and comment if this helped you ! Thank you !! 🎀 #thebig6 #lymphaticdrainage #loseweight #perimenopausehealth by @theamysimontv

OK, you guys I don’t have a production team. I don’t know if you know that, but some of these influencers on here have people helping them do their videos. They have people writing scripts for them, the editing and all of that stuff I don’t have that🤭 I literally just have this little tripod and I’m in my living room here and if I find videos that I like I share them with you guys. 😇 That’s pretty much it lol. I did try this workout and it is a good one !! It takes less than five minutes, but you are definitely going to feel this! this is definitely going to tighten your butt and your legs. Who’s doing this with me? Try it for 21 days. No excuses anybody can do this. And it’s going to tone and tighten your stomach as well ✨ so leave me a comment if you’re going to join me. This is for men and women by the way. 😉🩷💙 please follow along. I’m happy to share all of these things that I’m learning with you. But I need your support and I do love your comments. I do read all of them and I appreciate them. It means a lot to me so if you enjoy these videos, please let me know. Thank you so much. 😇 by @theamysimontv

Educational purposes :) i’m not a trainer and I’m not a doctor. I just do a LOT of research because I want to minimize the look of cellulite on my legs. I might even have lipedema. I’m not sure. But what I am learning is that cellulite could be from a circulation issue. And everybody’s body is different. It doesn’t matter if you’re bigger or thinner everybody’s body is different. I’m 5‘8“ and I’m 135 pounds and I probably have more cellulite than a lot of women out there. So I’m doing my best to figure out how to minimize it because I really wanna wear shorts again by this next summer. 🤭 And what I’m learning is you need to stay hydrated, you need to do move for your circulation and you need to loosen up your fascia ! and this 1 move -30 times on each side is going to help with that. these are quick enough and simple enough that you can do them every single day. The biggest thing is staying consistent. And I’m talking to myself too🤭 . So let’s do this for 21 days !! after you do the big 6, after you do the tai chi, then do this! and then just come back to me in 21 days and let me know how your body is looking and feeling. I highly suggest cutting out sugar and processed foods but you can do whatever you want, but that is when the weight fell off of me and my stomach issues went away. If this kind of information is helping you, can you please let me know by following me, just clicking like, maybe just leave a smiley face or a heart or something so I know that you’re seeing this. I’d really appreciate it. Thanks for being here you guys and have a great week. ❤️ #legs #cellulite #fascia #toneup #nogym by @theamysimontv

Social media is fake. It’s all good lighting and good angles. Have you ever seen an ‘influencer’ shooting videos in the bright sun ?! 🤭 me either. They use good / soft light. My skin ain’t this perfect ! And I know how to pose to look thinner.
But .. I did lose 20 pounds in a few months at 49 by changing my diet ! It cured my stomach issues as well ! I changed how my body and face looks with lymphatic drainage. I learned about tai chi and acupressure .. so I know how to lose water weight quickly now.
I trained myself to eat better. I started to learn how to cook ! At 49! I listen to joyce Meyer to get my Jesus fix and a Good word for the day. I started loving myself and not letting how others talk to me and treat me determine my value. (god loves you how you are) And it’s available for you too. 🎀🫵🏻🥰 I have had SEVERAL Men and women message me and say they’ve lost weight! up to 20 pounds by doing what I suggested ! It IS POSSIBLE. At any age. You think 50 is old ? lol. I’m just getting started. Who is with me ??? Who wants to look and feel better. That’s the ONLY thing we can really control ! Is how we treat ourselves. What we eat and how we live/ move. And you are worth it. Do it for you. Do it for your kids / grandkids. It’s more simple than you think and if I can change my diet and eat like a grown up after years and years of eating like crap .. then you can do. Love ya !! 🎀🥰🧸😇💜 #diet #almost50 #menandwomenshealth #lifegetsbetter by @theamysimontv

So this is what self taping looks like at home. We have to slate first and that is when we say our name, height, city/state we live & if we’ll work as a local hire. Also confirm the shoot dates and sometimes they want to see the front and back of your hands and they want a full body shot. Sometimes profiles as well or you’ll have to do a full 360° turn. It just depends , every audition is different. And then you usually have the slate in a separate file and then the other file would be the actual audition. They wanted 2 takes of each line. To camera. And you have to shoot horizontal.
Then i edit it together on iMovie. Then I AirDrop it to my computer. Then I upload it to Casting Networks which takes several minutes. And that’s it. The other audition that I did was actually just a print casting so I only had to take digitals. I didn’t have to slate or do a video for that one only photos. I kind of wish we did get to say our name and introduce ourselves, but they did not ask for that. But a lot of times clients will go on your social media and look at your pages and see what your life is like. I’ve had a few clients Tell me that they booked me because of my social media. They like seeing you with your family and with friends and traveling and doing what you do. You gotta show some personality. So yes, these auditions do take time !!! and that doesn’t include doing my hair and makeup. I used a grey sheet as my backdrop. Pinned it up. I wanted to use the pink but the color just wasn’t working with the light so the gray backdrop works better with my hair and it makes my eyes pop a little more. Plus somebody told me I look good in the green shirt so maybe I’ll start wearing green more often on my auditions. I’ll let you guys know if I hear anything. 😊✨✔️ #model #actress #selftape #slate #audition by @theamysimontv

Sent in a few photos for a print casting and then taped audition. Both are big brands . One shoots in Cincinnati and one in Ft Lauderdale.
And the last meme is a joke. Kinda. 🥹😜 ALL or most women can relate !! I am sure.
If only we saw ourselves how others did. How God does. 🥹🥰 well that’s why I am eating better now and moving my body more ! So I can look and feel better !! And I wish I had more confidence my whole life. But I had some things to work on. It Took years. YEARS. But finally at Almost 50 I’m feeling pretty good. Mostly just not giving a Fck helps. 😜 girls and ladies .. life gets better as you get older. It does. It doesn’t end at 30. It kinda really begins in your 40s. But .. ENJOY each day. Please !! Don’t put so much pressure on yourself !!! Learn to love yourself. I know sounds cheesy. But , please do it. You’re allowed ! And Jesus said .. love others as you …. LOVE YOURSELF! 😘 so, do what Jesus said. 🤭

Well, I haven’t had an updated demo reel in a while apparently. 🤭 This was from 2013. I was telling my friend Michele the other day that it is so hard to get our images from print jobs. It’s hard to get our commercials when we do a spot, the client doesn’t send them to us so I have to rely on other Models and Actors or other people to send me my work. No our agents do not get copies. We have to find it ourselves. Which is very hard !! ask any Model or Actor out there lol. I spot TV is great to find some of our commercials but the other ones we have to go looking for. And that’s one of the reasons I just haven’t put a reel together in a while. I also have a hosting reel. I’ll share that as well. But I don’t have a film reel. I would love to get one together, but that’s hard to get copies of your work like I said. It’s unfortunate!! And that is my daughter!! How cute is she?! I think she’s about four or five years old here !! and she was just a little natural. 💖 She was so precious oh my gosh and then I ended up buying one of these turtle lights for my nephews and my niece. ( she got to keep that one ) And this is just a few of the jobs. I’ve done over the years. I’ve done a lot more and I’m very proud of that. As I’ve said before, I really love what I do and I’m grateful for all the opportunities. #model #actress #spokesperson #talent by @theamysimontv

I made cowboy coffee this morning. In Kentucky we call it cowboy coffee other people call it Turkish coffee, Italians call it something different, etc but it’s literally taking 2 cups of coffee and you put in two spoonfuls of coffee grounds and you let it boil for three minutes. Then you let it sit for three minutes. Then you take a little bit of water and pour that in there and somehow the coffee grounds stay in the pot. I’m not sure how that happens. Lol. But they stay in there if you do it right. And then you just pour it into your cup and enjoy a really smooth cup of coffee I should’ve used the bigger spoon by the way lol I think I could’ve made it a little stronger. I’ll have to try it again. But yes, I worked for keurig( back when no one knew who or what they were) when they first came out. I thought that was 15 years ago, but that was probably more like almost 20 years ago. That other Actor‘s name was will. Absolutely amazing guy. He was a working actor meaning he was working on TV shows and films and lots of commercials. And he was incredibly kind. There was a lot of new actors on the shoot and a lot of extras and they kept asking him questions about the industry and he was just so KIND to everyone. answered all their questions. So sweet ! And I guess he played my husband in this spot we shot in Tampa. I remember it was kind of like a big infomercial type deal. Anyway, Will is no longer with us and that really broke my heart because I got to meet him and experience what a kind and loving man he was. That’s another reason why I love what I do. I really meet the most amazing people and I get to work with some of the most amazing brands. I personally love pods and I love Keurig (I have one ✨) I’m just saying if you want an alternative .. cowboy coffee is the way to go and it’s much easier to make than you think.
And my hair is oily because it’s my hair wash day and I have batana oil in my hair and rosemary oil and I’ll do a video on that next. 🥰 @keurig #actress #nationalcommercial #keurig #coffee #cowboycoffee ☕️ by @theamysimontv
