🌟 Thrilled to be featured in Canadian Business magazine! 🌟

As a "philanthro-tainer," Layne has reimagined DEIB workshops, transforming them from routine sessions into dynamic, engaging dialogues. By integrating real-life stories and fostering an environment where participants can be vulnerable and learn collectively, Layne's approach goes beyond traditional methods to create a space where true understanding and inclusivity flourish. 🚀 Their work has led to meaningful changes, such as updating the center's greeting to "Welcome, everyone," and redesigning facilities to be non-gendered—reflecting the diversity of the community. Join Layne in this journey where empathy leads and differences are celebrated.

After years of passionately serving as a Charity Auctioneer, I’ve EXCITEDLY been taking on more events that are focused on keynote speaking and event emceeing.

Why the transition, you ask? Well, it’s all about the journey. My experience as a Charity Auctioneer has taught me invaluable skills on connecting with audiences, storytelling, and igniting inspiration in others. These skills, honed through thousands of events and interactions, have equipped me with a unique perspective and a voice that I just cannot keep quiet.

Now, I’m taking my voice beyond the ballroom and onto different stages, where I can share insights, lessons, and stories that transcend the world of fundraising and resonate with audiences of all types.

FACT: This decision isn’t just about me. It’s about the importance of sharing our journeys. Each of us has a story to tell, lessons to impart, and experiences that can inspire others. By stepping into the spotlight as a keynote speaker, I openly share my personal journey about career pivoting and living authentically. I feel a deep commitment to encourage others to embrace their own unique paths and voices.

I’m thrilled to be splitting my time between speaking, event hosting, The IMPACT Workshop and fundraising. Each of these represent a different part of me. I said it in my last post and I’ll say it again - Personal growth happens. We change. We acquire new skills. We discover new paths. I LOVE my path.

I HAD to try this smoked olive tapenade from @fumeehgourmet 🤤🤤🤤

Olives are my jammmmm, people!!

Wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this but I have to give it a solid 9.5/10. Tried it on a cracker and it was unreal. Will be adding to pasta on the weekend, @susiek9lover is going to dip into this too, guaranteed.

Another reason to love this is that it’s made in Canada by Canadians and it is small batch. Always a huge plus! I’m also being seed oil aware these days so it was nice that this was olive oil based only, no seed oil additives.

Smokey. Olivey. Delish.

Thanks @fumeehgourmet for letting me try this!

I was so honoured to be asked to join the @artistsforpeace team for the 18th Annual #APJGala at the @windsorarms.

This night raised over $700,000 and the live auction was a moment to have some fun and come together to raise money for a great cause.

The always incredible @jannarden received the Artists for Peace and Justice Impact Award and it was great to run into some familiar faces - @amandabrugel I’m talking about you, girl!!!!

To @natashankpr, thank you for trusting me to take on APJ18 - you are a gem. 🖤🤍

I don’t “wing” anything… 🙃 by @theauctionista

The next few months are already shaping up to be a busy (and seriously exciting) event season!

I am ready to hit the road and make stops from coast to coast…and I am really looking forward to hitting new stages as well as seeing some familiar faces.
If you see me at an event, please give me the biggest hug you can.

You don’t have to become someone else to become better.
You just have to be brave enough to believe there’s more in you.
More courage.
More possibility.
More joy.
More impact.

So take the risk. Say yes to the thing that scares you. Give yourself permission to grow, change, stumble, start again and to keep going.
Your next chapter doesn’t need to look like anyone else’s. It just needs to be yours.

“Libraries are magical places. They open up the world, open up doors to creative thinking, curiosity, and confidence. And that is why I am so excited to be back at Rooftop Remix.”💯

Layne said it perfectly. We can’t wait to team up on August 21st to create more free Early Learning Spaces at VPL where every child gets to fall in love with learning.

Tickets in bio. 📚🧡
