June #2 Lemon Thyme loves the heat and the aroma is full on 🍋🍸we love its tiny citrus edge leaves and the flowers pinky flush only around for a few weeks. Forget the lemon wedge, get this stuff in your G&T, it’s very happy growing in pots.. grab some from your garden centre.

Flowers at peak in June #1 Marguerite flowers.. cracking 🍳 in this crazy weather.. 32degrees down to 12 in just the past week. Thought we’d focus on some crackers this week.. many are new to us but some old favourites too.

#alliums are in full swing! These incredible beauties generally have flavours of leeks through to spring onions.. with their raucous cousin the wild garlic flowers!
And these little bombshells chive flowers.. delicious!
These guys are way earlier than usual this year.. don’t miss them 💥💥💥

Here’s what’s growing in the other little polytunnel we have at @darvills_hill_farm these tunnels aren’t heated and don’t have artificial light as we don’t want to use power other than the mighty seasons. 🌞💨☔️⚡️
Just a little protective cover from the worst of the wet, wind and frost making a huge difference at this time of year.

Polytunnels come into their own for extending the seasons.. we now have two at @darvills_hill_farm and they’re getting very full! This is a mini tour of polytunnel one!

Autumn is here with gales and downpours but after a very kind summer.. plants doing well and I’m transferring as much as I can into the polytunnels. Been a bit quiet on here.. been a hectic month but we are not complaining!

Thanks to all you guys out there supporting what we’ve got going on! You know who you are 😉

The mighty marigolds keep on giving!
So many types.. we can’t grow enough.. mini tagettes to mega African giant pom-poms.. we put the petals in our summer salad and they are popular as a fragrant and delicious addition for chefs who know 😉
Leaves are also full of flavour, herbal vibes from tutti fruits to sage, great with tomatoes and desserts.
This year has been stonking growing conditions for these golden blooms 🌟💛🥇🏆

Wish I was handling this heat as well as they are 😩😆 how you all doing?
