Meet the family behind The Nostalgia Nook! What started as a crazy little dream between Shaun and me has turned into a full family adventure, and we figured it was time to introduce our crew! Shaun & Cat: The two collectors who thought opening a nostalgic video store in 2026 was a perfectly reasonable idea. Dreamers, treasure hunters, and probably the reason everyone else has a never-ending to-do list! Amanda & Alda: The talented seamstresses behind our handmade HOMEBODY collection and the ones holding down the fort while Cat works full-time! From running the store and welcoming customers to sewing and treasure hunting, they've truly been running the show when we can't be there. Mauro: Shaun's stepdad, handyman, painter, picture hanger, and our go-to guy for donation and Marketplace pickups. Somehow, there's always another project waiting for him! Oma: Our crochet queen and the genius behind our blankets with built-in foot pockets! She also keeps our dogs company and makes sure we actually eat when we're working late. The Nook may have started as our dream, but our whole family has poured their hearts into making it happen. No big investors or corporate teams. Just a family who loves physical media, handmade treasures, and bringing a little piece of the past back to life. Come meet us on the first floor of the Bay Centre in downtown Victoria. There's always room for one more in our little living room! With love, Shaun & Cat #TheNostalgiaNook #VictoriaBC #FamilyBusiness #SupportLocalYYJ #DowntownVictoria by @thebaycentre
