A special thank you to our longtime docent and talented photographer, Val Pfiefer, who generously volunteers his time capturing the Bembridge House and other Long Beach Heritage events. Through his lens, he helps preserve the people, places, and moments that make our history special.

We’re so grateful for volunteers like Val, who share their talents and help keep our local history alive!

Though November has arrived, the spirits still linger within the walls of the Bembridge House. The Fall Ball may be over, but some guests never found their way out…

Last night, the Bembridge House hosted its very first Lost Souls Murder Mystery Party, and what a delightfully wicked evening it was!

Twenty eager investigators gathered within our historic walls to unravel the secrets of a decades-old murder. There were clues to uncover, suspects to question, and plenty of mystery and mischief along the way!

Missed the mystery? Fear not, dear detectives…

The Lost Souls will return! We’re bringing our Murder Mystery Parties back monthly in 2027, with new opportunities to put your sleuthing skills to the test.

Keep a watchful eye on www.thebembridgehouse.org for upcoming dates and details.

After all, some secrets refuse to stay buried… 🕸️

Long Beach Heritage and the Bembridge House were honored to join the Willmore City Community Association in celebrating 50 years of neighborhood pride, preservation, and community dedication!

As the birthplace of Long Beach, Willmore City holds a special place in our city’s history. It was wonderful to celebrate alongside longtime friends, neighbors, and passionate advocates who have worked tirelessly to protect the neighborhood’s historic character and strengthen its community.

Congratulations on 50 remarkable years! Thank you to the generations of dedicated individuals whose efforts continue to make Willmore City such an important part of Long Beach’s past, present, and future.

Some folks have asked us why the haunted tours ended “early”. Well, you see our new Event Planner (& spirit guide) is celebrating a special occasion at the end of the month.
Our haunted tours feature many different scare actors, 3 floors and many props/lighting. Lots of moving parts if you will, a large undertaking.
We started three years ago with just one weekend. Now, we’ve grown to three weekends and dozens of volunteers. Thank you to everyone who has allowed this event to grow. We look forward to more tours in the future.
Please share your pictures and videos with us. Like, share or comment to help our engagement.
