We’re not lonely because we’re alone.

We’re lonely because we’re having conversations that don’t feed our souls.

The Board Walks fix this.

Since 2022, over 16,000 people in cities around the world have walked with us.

5 miles. Saturday mornings. Conversations that go beyond small talk.

Here’s how it works:

We gather. Same time, same place. You bring a thoughtful topic: could be a question you’re wrestling with, something you can’t stop thinking about, or just pure curiosity about literally anything.

We circle up. Your friendly walk host sets the tone. Everyone shares their name, one thing they’re grateful for, and their topic. Then we walk about 5 miles. Two hours where you float between conversations with 5+ people that pull you in.

When a conversation feels complete, you just say “I’m gonna float” and find the next person. Zero judgement. Zero “what do you do?” on repeat.

Many of our regulars come back 20, 30, 40+ times because this walk feels like a weekly reset and a portal to real connection.

If something in you is screaming “I’ve been looking for this,” welcome home.

If you’re thinking “okay but what ACTUALLY happens 👀”... we got you.

Here’s the ritual we’ve hosted 400+ times since 2022:

✨STEP 1: BRING A TOPIC

Think of it like a conversational potluck. Everyone brings a dish.

Your topic could be a question you’re wrestling with, something you can’t stop thinking about, or an obsession you want to geek out on. Anything that feels alive to you.

This is your ticket to the walk.

✨ STEP 2: CIRCLE UP & SHARE

We gather in a circle. Your walk host sets the tone. Everyone shares: your name, what you’re grateful for, and your topic. That’s it. 60 seconds.

This creates the first spark of connection we cultivate over 5 miles together.

✨ STEP 3: WALK, TALK & FLOAT

We walk for about 2 hours. You drift into conversations with 2-3 people at a time. When you feel complete, you just say “I’m gonna float” and join a new group, using “What’s your topic?” as an easy in.

No judgment. No feeling stuck. Just flow.

On average, people talk to 5+ different humans each walk.

✨STEP 4: FEEL MORE ALIVE

We end where we started. The seasons change. The faces change. The topics change.

But the feeling is always the same: lighter, more connected, remembering what it feels like to be fully present with other curious humans.

People call this walk “humanity at its best.”

You don’t need to know anyone. You don’t need to be extroverted – in fact, introverts freaking love it here! You just need to show up with a topic and genuine curiosity.

What happens when you keep showing up to The Board Walks? 👀✨

Here are a few stories:

“I used to barely leave my house. The walk gave me a reason to get out every Saturday, and now I have a whole community of people who actually understand me.”

“I’ve had more soul-feeding conversations in 2 hours on a walk than in the entire last year of networking events, happy hours, and dinner parties combined.”

“Every walk, I leave with at least one new friend and one massive insight about myself. It’s become the non-negotiable highlight of my week.”

“I arrived feeling anxious and socially awkward. I left feeling grounded, energized, and peaceful in a way I can’t explain. If you’re on the fence… DO IT.”

“This walk is humanity at its best.”

Over the years, people have met co-founders, creative collaborators, and lifelong best friends on these walks. They’ve found romantic partners (even though they weren’t looking). They’ve connected with mentors who changed the trajectory of their lives.

Others quit soul-crushing jobs. Started dream businesses. Ended relationships that weren’t serving them.

And some people just use it as their weekly reset: time away from screens, out in fresh air, pondering life’s big questions, remembering what it feels like to be fully human.

The most common thing people tell our hosts: “I’ve been searching for this my entire adult life and didn’t know it existed.”

If you’re reading this and thinking “I’ve been looking for something like this,” that’s your nudge.

Before you launch anything new, ask three questions:

Does it bring me joy and stretch me? Who needs this? Who’d want to make it happen with me? 🎯

Chicago, we're here.

The Board Walks starts tomorrow morning in Lincoln Park.

Saturday, October 24 · 9 AM CT

Here's the whole deal: bring one topic you actually want to talk about. A question, an idea, an obsession. We circle up, everyone shares their name, something they're grateful for and their topic, then we walk five miles.

You drift into conversation with two or three people at a time. When you're ready for a new one, you say "I'm going to float" and go.

Not small talk. Big questions, with strangers, on foot.

There's only one first walk. Come be part of it. 🧡 by @theboardwalks_
