Dialogues in Jazz: The Music of François Jeanneau

An intimate evening celebrating the music of renowned composer François Jeanneau, paired with a three-course French dinner in the elegant setting of The Bonnefont just a short walk from the Met Cloisters

Date: Thursday, November 12, 2026 - 6:15PM- 9PM

Location: The Bonnefont, Fort Tryon Park

Conceived and curated by drummer and Inwood Jazz Festival Artistic Director Aaron Scott, this program celebrates the music of François Jeanneau, the pioneering French saxophonist, composer, and musical director of the first Orchestre National de Jazz (ONJ) in 1986. The evening brings together four musicians whose careers bridge the French and New York jazz traditions.

Aaron Scott | Program Curator

As a founding member of the 1986 Orchestre National de Jazz under Jeanneau’s direction, Scott offers an insider’s perspective on this music. His first-hand experience with Jeanneau’s compositions forms the core of tonight’s retrospective.

Featuring:
Jérôme Sabbagh | Soprano Saxophone

Dan Tepfer | Piano

François Moutin | Bass

Aaron Scott | Drums

Together, these four musicians form a vibrant dialogue across generations, geography, and shared history reimagining Jeanneau’s music through a deeply personal lens.

Seating is Limited. Register Early.

The Meads 🤍 10.10.26

I genuinely cannot express my gratitude to @kmauten1122 and @ericjymead enough for including me in their truly beautiful day. Kristina holds a special place in my heart as my childhood nanny and continued mentor. Seeing her as a bride and capturing the love that she and Eric share was nothing short of magical. I haven’t stopped crying in 72 hours, and it reminds me why I do this. 🥹

Nicholas and Justin ❤️ first met in Boston at Club Cafe, where a Harvard business card with an office landline somehow became the beginning of their story. At The Bonnefont in Fort Tryon Park, they promised to keep choosing one another through every version of the life ahead. The night ended with a packed dance floor and a cake cutting that felt exactly like them: warm, playful, and surrounded by home.
