Had so much fun with this beading project! And, of course, Roscoe helped πŸ˜‰πŸˆ I have been wanting to learn how to make bag charms/keychains for a while now so I can bring them for trinket trading at The City Fling 2027. And while they’re not done yet, I love how they’re turning out so far! I think I want to add a third strand with TCF 27 on it in letter beads. And then make some with different charms on the 2nd strand. For people with a lot of beading experience, do I need to be worried about the gold beads tarnishing or anything like that? Or anything I should be doing to ensure longevity? All tips welcome!! #beadcraft #trinket #bagcharm #dΔ±y #hobby by @thecityfling

Publishing is a hard road for any author, but Black, Indigenous, Person of Color authors face additional hurdles at nearly every stage, from underrepresentation in the industry to fewer marketing dollars and less visibility for their work. Signing events are one of the most powerful ways for authors to connect with readers and grow their audience, yet getting into these events and the cost of attending these events can be a real barrier. I’ve been fortunate in this industry, and I want to use the voice and privilege I have to help change that, even if it's one table at a time. I’ve partnered with four signing events I'm attending in 2027 to sponsor one Black, Indigenous, Person of Color author at each event. 🩷 Participating Events: Belles in the Bay 2027 A Meet (& Greet) Cute 2027 City Fling Denver 2027 Apollycon 2027 🩷 Application in bio. by @thecityfling
