I don’t think my husband gets nearly enough recognition for the incredible man he is.

We’ve had a few tough weeks navigating my epilepsy recently, and he’s been right there beside me, holding my hand and loving me through it all. And as if that weren’t enough, he’s also been a perfect dad and somehow manages to keep our little menagerie of pets in order. 🥹❤️

I suppose his only real fault is that he supports the All Blacks. 😬😂

He’ll never see this post because he’s anti-social media, but I wanted a little reminder on my feed of the amazing man who made me believe in love at first sight. 🥰

I’d choose you every single time. ❤️

Feeling fabulous with my family after a bit of a rough week.

Sometimes I pinch myself when I realise how lucky I am to have this amazing little family 🥹
Liam has clearly finally discovered his growth spurt and is about to overtake his dad in height! 😂 Jada is thriving at uni and positively glowing. We’re just constantly feeling like two very proud parents.
About a year ago, we took a huge leap of faith and moved over 1000km across the country. There were plenty of fears, uncertainties and obstacles along the way, but somehow, here we are — happy, settled and so grateful that we took that chance.

Reminiscing about our recent roadtrip on the West Coast. I’m a real sucker for dorpies 🌼

@diestrandloper is definitely worth a visit. Be sure to arrive ravenous 😅

Had to tick visiting @weskus.padstal off the bucket list ✔️

Met the cutest parrot (who didn’t bite 🙃)

Can’t believe it’s already 6 months into 2026! It’s been wild so here’s a quick recap:
1. Started the year off with a quick day trip to Franschhoek
2. Liam saw a Peadiatric Orthopeadic Surgeon about his feet and ankles
3. We were bitten by the Cape Town market bug 🐛

3. Bought a lot of figs in Constantia
4. Took a quick work trip to Durban & found the most peaceful spot to get some work done
5. Kept medical professionals in business
6. Started getting used to Cape Town traffic, even on warm, misty mornings ⛅️
7. Loved the local market scene 🫣
8. Many a date night with my love 😘
9. Never stopped marveling at the beauty of Cape Town
10. Got new wheels 🛞

We had a lovely morning at the Oranjezicht Farmers Market with our two teens who are finally willing to let me take pictures of them in public 📸
Didn’t realize that Liam is almost taller than Jada 😳

First exam at his new school and Liam's rocking the 'I just rolled out of bed' vibe.
Haircut pending …

A little look at life as we enter our third month as permanent residents of Cape Town.
So what have we learnt so far?
~ The rental market is insanely competitive & we struggled to find a pet friendly rental (we spent about 3 weeks in an Airbnb in Bo-Kaap)
~ All the schools are oversubscribed, but as of Friday Liam is finally attending school 😅
~ The weather in Cape Town is VERY unpredictable, and the wind is insane 🌪️
~ It’s expensive 💰
~ Cape Tonians drive really badly & the N2 is wild 🤪
But,
~ We live in an insanely beautiful city & I have the best view on my commute from work every day
~ I love my new job 👩🏻‍💻
~ We can get Krispy Kreme whenever we want 🤤

Driving home from work today, I pinched myself - I actually live in Cape Town?! 😅
The views on my daily commute are just incredible. It's been a whirlwind adjusting to a new city, but I'm so proud we took the plunge and chased a new adventure 🌈

Beyond excited to be reunited with my family, fur babies included 🐾, in Cape Town!
The past few weeks have been tough 🥺 but knowing we'll face this new chapter together makes everything worthwhile!

Weekend done!
Met up with @cptsilentbookclub at @berthahouse_ for some reading time (The Four Winds by Kristin Hannah).
Sunday was F1 and caffeine at @bootleggercoffeecompany, with a quick stop at @wordsworthbookssa 🙂
