- It’s weird
how a shadow knows the shape of you
better than most people do.
It’s quiet, loyal,
a little too honest sometimes.

It’s something you have to learn,
To learn to live with the imprint,
the outline,
the part that sticks around
when everything else leaves early.

I keep trying to be okay with that.
Me and the shadow,
learning the same song
at different volumes. -

- She said the wind up here feels like old advice
loud, useless,
but sometimes right.

I told her I used to be afraid of edges.
She said, you still are,
then smiled like it wasn’t an insult.

For a while,
neither of us said anything.
There was traffic somewhere,
and the sky pretending it had more time.

She closed her eyes,
the city breathing beneath her,
and everything felt briefly,
accidentally right. -

- O walls, you’ve heard the lies of kings,
the bargains of thieves,
and still you stand while the centuries rot around you. -

- Nobody taught the paint to stay inside the lines.
Nobody told the music where it was allowed to land.
And somewhere between the cracks in the walls and the lift of a wrist,
the rules simply forgot themselves.-

- The walls had seen this before:
A quiet shifting of weight,
a slow recognition that a body was here—
fully here—
claiming nothing
but its own right to remain.

The plaster softened slightly under pressure,
accepting the imprint
as proof enough
of someone choosing to stay. -

- The window wasn’t for looking out.
It was for holding back.

A pane of light against the weight of memory,
a threshold pressed with muscle and patience.

Some mornings aren’t measured in hours,
but in how long a body can keep
from folding into the past.

Balance isn’t stillness.
It’s choosing, again and again,
to keep your spine pointed at the world—
even when it doesn’t ask you to. -

- The street was damp.
A narrow cut of city most people walk past without seeing.
Two walls.
One line of water between them.
And a figure, upright—
stretched between brick and skin. -

- The room was quiet when the camera started.
No countdown.
No cue.

The hand moved first.
Then the shift in weight.
One step, maybe two.

No one said a word, but everything adjusted anyway.
Light.
Focus.
Posture.

It wasn’t planned.
But it worked. -

- There’s a certain kind of strength in standing still,
when every part of you wants to move,
to run,
to explain.

But the ones who’ve been misunderstood enough
stop offering answers.
They just learn how to hold a moment
without letting it hold them.

And if someone notices?
Good.
If not?
Also good.

This wasn’t about being seen.
It was about knowing.
And knowing—
is enough. -

- There are moments you don’t rise—
you return.

Not to who you were,
but to the part of you that never left.
The one that kept moving
even when the rest of you paused.

That’s what this is.

Not a performance.
Not a pose.
Not some fragile redemption arc.

This is a body remembering what it feels like
to belong to itself.

This is what it looks like
when you finally stop shrinking
just to keep other people comfortable.

Not rising—
returning. -

- Some of us were born sideways—
tilted into this world
as if falling from a different story.

We entered the world at an angle,
tilting toward elsewhere,
where clocks don’t tick
and gravity forgets your name.

We never learned to walk in straight lines.
We zigzag through expectations,
folding time like origami
and slipping through the seams.

They call us late.
They call us lost.
But we were never trying to arrive—
only to occur.

We feel the moon before it rises.
We speak fluently in silence.
We leave fingerprints on moments
no one remembers living.

And when we’re gone,
don’t look for footprints.
Look for the places
where the air feels different.

Because some of us
were never meant to stay—
only to realign the axis
and vanish sideways,
the way we came. -
