Jesus has been and will continue to build His church. We don’t need to “reinvent” the church or “restore the original” church. All we need is to ask the Spirit breathe on the same Church that Jesus has been building for the last 2000 years. We need renewal and retrieval, not reinvention or restoration. by @saintifiedpodcast

Over the last few years I’ve developed a deep conviction that some of the way prophetic ministry has been done has actually served to reinforce the values of culture instead of the values of Jesus’ Kingdom. If we find ourselves increasingly saying, “I feel like God wants to make you wealthy, comfortable, and well-known in the eyes of people,” we should stop and ask: “am I communicating God’s heart, or am I actually communicating what this person desires to hear?” Prophetic ministry is beautiful and holy, and we should steward the task of communicating God’s heart with intentionality and reverence, acknowledging where our own faulty theology and misplaced emphasis have actually drawn people away from the sacrificial, cross bearing Kingdom of Jesus and towards the comfort and ease of the American Dream or the lights and glamor of celebrity Christianity. by @saintifiedpodcast

Theology is doxology. Loved having some beautiful conversations with my brother @andrewfish and friend @ja_collins surrounding the integration of theology and the work of the Spirit.
