Here are 10 things I HATE about St. Vincent and the Grenadines.🙄

This is just normal life in Vincy and I would never give up my home. 32 Islands and cays, nobody badder dan wee! So many more to offer and I can’t get over it. 🥹

The accommodation definitely adds to the experience when traveling. And this accommodation offers local prices as low as 250 XCD per night with convenience. Away from all the noise but close to the hotspots.✨

If you love falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to the sea, Ocean Lovers Apartments in Canouan are exactly what you’ve been looking for.💙

With the turquoise waters of Twin Bay just steps from your door, paradise isn’t a destination here, it’s where you’re staying. And even better, $230 XCD for three nights or more..local prices, world-class views & hospitality! Book your stay.🙌🏽

Would you believe me if I told you I never left Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to get photos like these?🥹

Old-world charm, island edition. Ornate lampposts line the waterfront at Sandy Lane Yacht Club right here in Canouan. Pastel facades, iron balconies, and Grenadine blue.🩵 Canouan’s marina village, framed. Got me feeling like I teleported.😍😮‍💨

It’s a marina village designed to be a destination in itself. This is where the world’s most luxurious yachts come to dock, tucked away in one of the most exclusive anchorages in the Grenadines.🛥️

One country, 32 islands, and Canouan quietly holds its own among the world’s great yachting destinations.🇻🇨

Also, HELLO!!… there’s a whole @randyssvg at the marina! And the pastries from the bakery?! LOVE😩💜

Saint Vincent and the Grenadines really said: why travel far when everything you need is right here?😏

FIRST FULL DAY ON CANOUAN!!!!🥳🥳🥳🥳

Up early inna the morning at 5:30 AM. I went to bed at 1am.😭😭 BUT we are outside and hitting the hills. ⛰️🇻🇨

Tucked in the southern hills of Canouan, this quiet rise is known to locals as Mantette (or Montette), though the maps call it Taffia Hill. At roughly 110 m, it’s a short, STEEP, climb but the reward is big: sweeping views over Glossy Bay’s turquoise waters, the marina, and the scatter of green islets stretching toward the horizon.

For generations, these slopes have been part of everyday island life, grazing land, walking paths for exercising, and a natural lookout over one of the Grenadines’ most unspoiled corners.

Say hello to the fruit foraged straight from the cacti, Maliga. The dragon fruit’s smaller island cousin! Growing wild on the cacti dotting the hills of Canouan, Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.🇻🇨

This little fruit is a true taste of the island. Slice it open and you’ll find the same speckled, jewel-like flesh as a pitaya, just in a smaller, sweeter package. Sweet and seeded, nature’s candy, Caribbean style.🙌🏽

Keep an eye on the cacti and the rocky ground as you climb: I collected a few pokes on my climb. 😭😭 But HEY! Gotta leave Canouan with memories right?🥹

Nevertheless, look at this tiny bird egg that we saw mid way through the hike! What type of bird do you think it is? 👀

Soaking in the views half way up. A girl was tired! These hills are steep for me.😂 But this hike was definitely a change in pace compared to my usual morning routine.

📸: @alfred.tw

Did we have to also do a short bit of rock climbing? Yes, yes we did. If yuh see me like a champ!🥳🥳 I was so proud of Zi, sis showed off her skills!👏🏽 What excuse do you have?? Oh, okay. 🙂

Mt. Royal watching me with a side eye right now! I can’t handle you right now sir. Another day!😮‍💨

We made it!!!!! Can the church say hallelujah!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I was so happy, omg. Only to realize, we have to hike down afterwards🙂, I was famished at this point. But scroll to see the piece ah hill!🥲

Wake up to four-poster bed comfort, sip your morning coffee with sea views of the island, and let the ocean breeze do the rest. ☕️🤍

11 AM in Kingstown, Saint Vincent, boarding the Gemstar 2 → Sunset dinner in Canouan.🥳

The crossing was pure magic, watching the island’s green volcanic mountains fade behind me as we cut through the Grenadines. Tiny islets like stepping stones, and water shifting from deep blue to impossibly turquoise. Surreal.🩵

Big sis tip: You can get to the Southern Grenadines via Plane. Taking the boat doesn’t take ANYTHING away from this experience, it adds to it.✨ Sure, it’s about 3 hours (vs 20–25 mins by ✈️), but trust me, the islands introduce themselves one by one, and baby, that first impression lasts forever.

My Friends🤍

And then… Canouan appeared on the horizon. The moment we stepped off the boat, my host/Tour guide, Ziko from @oceanlovers_apartments, was right there to greet us. The kind of welcome that makes you feel like long time friends who haven’t seen each other in a while, not a tourist, even as a local/domestic tourist, I appreciated that.🥹

First stop: a stroll through the square, popping into local shops and the market. We spotted The Pizza Train, an actual train carriage brought all the way from England, sitting on this tiny Caribbean island! Sadly it was closed during my stay… but I’ll be back for that slice. 😅🍕

On our mini tour, our next stop was at Soho House Canouan just to have a look around the accommodation and take a few photos because, why not?😂 It is a beautiful space.🙌🏽

Also book @framedbydezmorel for all your photography needs, thank ya!📸💋

We drove up to the Canouan Estate for a breathtaking high-point view over the entire port. On the way there, we saw dozens of turtles on the road. Cutest.🐢🥹

Some of the turtles weren’t even phased by the interactions which was so new to me lol. But please bear in mind that you’re in THEIR territory from the time you step a pinkie toe unto Canouan, which means the turtles have PRIORITY anywh by @thedezmorel.guide
