We’re getting pretty excited to take the whole Schoonertown album on the road and across the country again this month! And we’re even more excited to let ya know who’ll be joining us along the way. @michaelaslinger will be coming out West with us, and @emileamay will be joining us for the Eastern leg! They’re both such beautiful singers and brilliant songwriters, so we’re super stoked to have them 🙌🏼 Also, a big ol’ THANK YOU for all the support so far. Most of these shows are already sold out, which is pretty wild. If you’re planning on coming out to Victoria, London, or the Peterborough matinee, consider this your warning to grab your tickets sooner rather than later. Can’t wait to see yas out there. We’ve got some pretty exciting news for yas today! And it involves a BRAND NEW ALBUM (you may have guessed something is coming after so many songs eh?! ;))! Our fifth full-length album, “Schoonertown,” is coming your way January 23, 2026! You can pre-save it now at the link in our bio. "Schoonertown” is rooted in our early years as a band, and paints a picture – half dream/half reality – of what it’s like growing up in a small East Coast seaside town. Through the eyes of a young fisherman, the songs and tunes are the soundtrack to the tidal shifts of life on and off the water; the struggles and triumphs, the hopes and dreams that ebb and flow with the seasons, love, growth, and figuring out your place in the world. We’re very excited to share it with you! It’s also the first album we’ve written, produced, and recorded entirely on our own, which makes it feel extra special! In honour of our announcement today, we have one more single from the album, called “Tear in the Tide”! Please have a listen, and let us know what you think! Thank you Winnipeg! Luckily there was no school for the kiddos the next day ;) Such a great night (and thank you to all the dancers)! Big thanks to @parktheatre for having us and @jsenftphotography for the pics! by @theeastpointers
Now THAT was a party! The East Pointers brought the PEI energy to a sold-out Park Theatre last night! Fiddles flying, feet stomping, and a crowd that came ready to dance! Huge shoutout to Michaela Slinger for kicking things off and to the Winnipeg Folk Festival for presenting one heck of a night! Winnipeg loves a good East Coast kitchen party! by @theeastpointers
