jamaica queens, we actually did it 🙌🏽🗽 this was southeast queens’ biggest cleanup, and what started with calling attention to the problem turned into real action. now we can actually see the difference. this is what happens when people stop just talking about their community and start showing up for it. 💯 Follow @theegeneraljo___ on Instagram for more content #nyc #jamaicaqueens #southeastqueens #communitycleanup #theegeneraljo by @theegeneraljo___

a medical emergency on the nyc 7 train line caused a disruption after a passenger reportedly suffered a seizure. 💔 the conductor made an announcement informing passengers of the situation. medical emergencies should always come first, but what about the commuters who are left stranded? should the mta provide better communication and alternative transportation options during these situations? 🕊️ a 15-year-old boy was tragically shot and killed while on his way to school in the bronx, nyc. javits frimpong, who reportedly moved to new york from ghana just one year ago, had his life cut short before he could even begin to experience everything life had to offer. his father believes bullying may have played a role in his son’s death, claiming that two students had previously been suspended for bullying him. authorities have not confirmed whether bullying was connected to the shooting, and the investigation remains ongoing. a child should be able to walk to school without fearing for their life. another young life lost, another family left grieving, and another tragedy raising serious questions about youth violence and school safety in new york city. how many more children have to lose their lives before something changes? rest in peace, javits frimpong. 🕊️❤️ source: abc7 eyewitness news Follow @theegeneraljo__ and @theegeneraljo___ on Instagram for more content #nyc #bronx #gunviolence #schoolsafety #theegeneraljo by @theegeneraljo___
nyc is being called the safest it’s ever been, but is that really how new yorkers feel? we’re still hearing about shootings, murders, violence on public transportation, and innocent people losing their lives. yes, crime statistics may show improvements, and that’s something worth acknowledging. but we also have to recognize that numbers don’t always reflect how safe people feel in their own communities. and with 2026 not even over yet, shouldn’t we wait until december 31 before making final declarations about the year? what do you think? is nyc really becoming safer, or is there a disconnect between the statistics and what new yorkers experience? imagine walking into a nyc bodega to buy a $5 bacon, egg, and cheese, only to find out $50 was taken from your ebt card. 🤦🏽‍♂️ this is the reality of ebt theft and skimming. people are already struggling to put food on the table, and now they have to worry about their benefits being stolen. stealing from people who depend on food assistance to survive is absolutely disgusting. new yorkers, check your ebt transactions and protect your benefits! have you or someone you know experienced ebt skimming? instagram’s algorithm is making it increasingly difficult for content creators to grow, especially smaller creators trying to build their platforms. between fluctuating views, unpredictable engagement, and the constant pressure to adapt, creating content can feel like an uphill battle. but here’s my question: are creators actually experiencing a decline in reach, or is the competition for attention becoming more intense? what have you noticed with your instagram engagement lately? black america has made tremendous progress, but are we truly free? dr. martin luther king jr., malcolm x, and countless civil rights leaders fought against injustice, inequality, and oppression. decades later, many of the issues they fought against still exist. but here’s another question we need to ask ourselves: where are the leaders of the same caliber today? where is the unity? where is the accountability? where is the leadership willing to challenge the system and fight for the next generation? the civil rights movement changed america, but the fight for true equality is far from over. do you believe black america is truly free today? and do we have the leadership necessary to move forward? domestic violence needs to be taken seriously! a 35-year-old mother, seraphina pereira, was found buried in a shallow grave in far rockaway, queens. according to abc7 new york, her boyfriend has been charged with murder. three children have lost their mother, and a family is now left grieving an unimaginable tragedy. domestic violence is not something we should ignore, excuse, or dismiss. threats, intimidation, controlling behavior, and physical abuse should never be taken lightly. we need to do better as a community when it comes to recognizing warning signs, supporting victims, and protecting those experiencing abuse. how many more lives have to be lost before we start taking domestic violence seriously? my deepest condolences go out to seraphina pereira’s children, family, and loved ones. 🕊️❤️ source: abc7 new york Follow @theegeneraljo__ and @theegeneraljo___ on Instagram for more content #nyc #queens #domesticviolenceawareness #stopdomesticviolence #theegeneraljo by @theegeneraljo___
