“Is this what everyday of marriage is like?”
“It is if you pick the right one. And I think you have.”

This was the conversation I had with Mary as her new husband Alex stooped down on the sand to take off her heels for her to walk comfortably on the beach and in the forest.

I meant this with all my heart. The last (almost) 2 years of marriage with Tristan flashed in my mind, I remembered the amount of people who said “Oh just WAIT until the honeymoon stage is over in a few weeks…”

Weeks have turned into months turned into a small palmful of years. While it’s no length like that of the couples we look up to and admire, it’s been longer then a few weeks,

and the honeymoon stage hasn’t ended yet.

It’s been the hardest thing ever, don’t get me wrong. The sanctification and purification as two souls struggle to become one. But it’s been magic. Pure magic being his wife. Feeling more and more, rooting deeper and deeper. There is no sunset honeymoon better than this.

“I like you, I’ve loved watching you and your husband, I think you two are a lot like us.” Mary, my bride said to me after the sun set over the lake.

“I like you too… and I think you’re right.” I said back with a smile. Cause deep down, Mary and Alex, I think you will be like us. My gut says your honeymoon isn’t gonna end in a few weeks. :)

✨✨✨
