A double Jamie update - his health is back to 'rude'. And today is his birthday! He is a most excellent person in a multitude of ways, and this is a perfect occasion to celebrate that fact. Bon anniversaire! by @theexactopp

Jamie is rather pissed off about it but has been admitted to hospital for a few days of treatment for a pre-existing condition.
We can't guarantee he will be out in time for the show this Saturday in Charlbury so we sadly have to pull out.
We were really looking forward to playing, so sorry to let you down. by @theexactopp

Without Nightshift Magazine there are some gaps in the scene that the community (in this case Deadly and Rich from The Melting Pot show on @getradiouk) have been moving to fill. So if you want to find out where awesome new bands are playing locally, get yourself to https://www.theoxfordgigguide.co.uk.

We're hard at work finishing the new album (which is going to be, if I may be so bold, fantastic), so we only have one show on the books, 10th October at @the_shed_charlbury supporting the wonderful @bedd_band. Come and see us! by @theexactopp

4 years ago today we played our first show at the lovely @riversidefest. It's not the greatest work rate, but we're just finishing off work on our second album. Out... soon? by @theexactopp

We played @riversidefest yesterday and had a great time at our favourite festival. No pictures of us - I was playing - but here's @bedd_band who were phenomenal. Never heard of them? What a shame - look them up. And equally, somewhere in _your_ local music scene there are equally amazing artists. Get out, see tiny gigs, have incredible experiences and maybe come across stuff this incredible. by @theexactopp

HEADS UP for anyone coming to see us at @riversidefest on Saturday - we've swapped slots, so we're now on at 17:40 instead of 19:20. See you there! It's our favourite festival. by @theexactopp

Five years ago today Jamie and I got together to make some music after a long time apart. We had no idea what it might be. We're now putting the finishing touches to our second album, which seems like it's going to be an absolute banger.

subscript - as I type this at my kitchen table, I'm looking at the same blue water bottle as in this shot. It is quite battered now. by @theexactopp

Jamie reacting to a mix of one of the new tracks. New album coming soon... by @theexactopp

**IMPORTANT**
Jamie has a thumb infection which makes it impossible to play guitar. Because of this we have had to cancel our appearance at ApFest '26 for Strummer Room Records Presents tonight. Really sorry about this everyone. by @theexactopp

We're briefly emerging from our cocoon of album recording (it's very nearly done) for a couple of shows. 23rd May we're honoured to be at ApTapFest '26 for the lovely Strummer Room Records at the Apothecary Tap in Banbury, onstage at 5pm.
Then on 31st May we're at @thebullingdon_ with a whole host of other amazing bands celebrating the incredible contribution Ronan and Nightshift Magazine has made to Oxford's scene. It'll be a short set, and likely to involve us playing songs by other amaze amaze amaze Oxford bands who can't make it.

We've been busy recording the new album, but there are a couple of shows coming up, both full band and noisy (not the acoustic version pictured). Catch us at
