Moving with control and respecting my body’s limits can be just as important as progressing.

Sometimes, less force and more awareness are exactly what we need to build a sustainable practice and reduce the risk of overuse injuries. by @thefiery.yoga

My first #ayurveda training in India. I feel so honored to learn from the doctors @deerghayu_ayurvedalaya. Thank you for your time, knowledge and practice! —> slide to get some insights or reach out to me if you want to get deeper into this topic!

7 days I was taught in:
1. Principles of Ayurveda - #prakriti and #vikriti - testing my own constitution
2. #lifestyle and regimes: rituals like Gandusha/ Kavala
3. #diet for healthy living with Ayurvedic Ahara Chikitsa
4. Treatments: Shirodana
5. Stri Roga and Prasuti Tantra Introduction (Ayurvedic #gynecology and Obstetrics)
6. Commonly used herbs for ailments through Ayurveda!
7. Skin & Haircare through Ayurveda

#dinacharya in Ayurveda refers to daily #wellness routines that help maintain balance and overall health, including oil cleansing (#gandusha or #oilpulling), tongue scraping, self-massage, and mindful eating. These simple practices aim to support oral hygiene.

In Ayurveda, the #sixtastes (Shad Rasa) are sweet, sour, salty, pungent, bitter, and astringent. Including all six in your daily diet is believed to support balance, digestion, and overall #wellbeing.

#indiancuisine beautifully reflects Ayurvedic wisdom, balancing the six tastes, spices, and fresh ingredients to nourish both body and mind. Khichdi was my fav meal during my detox therapy. It’s a gentle, nourishing dish made with rice and mung dal.

#shirodhara is an Ayurvedic therapy in which a steady stream of warm oil is gently poured over the forehead. It is traditionally used to promote #relaxation, calm the mind, and support restful #sleep.

#trayopastambha — the three pillars of health: #ahara (food), #nidra (sleep), and #brahmacharya (regulated lifestyle and energy management). These three are considered essential for maintaining health, balance, and #longevity.

#virechana is a cleansing therapy to eliminate waste from the body and restore balance, traditionally focusing on the Pitta dosha. by @thefiery.yoga
