I’m so proud of the @thegolfperformanceproject community. You’ve raised over $2100 for the @cmha_bc and @pgaofbc teachathon this year and your contribution will be helping those with mental health issues. I’ve lost close friends and loved ones to mental health struggles, if you are struggling you can TEXT OR CALL 988 to speak to someone. You don’t have to have all the answers, don’t lose hope, just reach out to someone you know and love and tell them you need help. Thank you @playsteadygolf @pgaofbc @thegolfperformanceproject @pingcanada @occamgolf @cmha_bc #mentalhealth by @thegolfperformanceproject

We’ve all lost someone we love to mental health issues. Here’s your chance to help someone who needs it. All proceeds from the lessons I teach on Monday will go to @cmha_bc as part of the @pgaofbc CMHA Teachathon. Email getbetter@thegolfproject.ca or send me DM to book your lesson. Let’s make a difference and save someone who is struggling. #cmha #mentalhealth #bcpga by @thegolfperformanceproject

There’s many adjustments we can make to your current putter that could save you from buying a putter that doesn’t solve any of your problems. That being said if you’re looking for a new gamer we’ll make sure it’s properly fit for you!

The putter you have could be a good fit for you. We might just need to make a few adjustments for it to suit your putting stroke. If you’re struggling with your putting you know where to find us!

Where is your EYEdeal spot for you to see straight looking down at the golf ball?

It’s so important to be able to identify the right golf shot for the scenario you find yourself in around the greens.

What every golfer sees as “straight” is different. This is a test you can do at home before you come in and see us for a more in depth look at why you’re not making as many putts as you’d like, especially the short ones!

You don’t need to keep your head down forever to make good contact with the golf ball 👏

A look inside a putter testing session with local playing pro @jeevan.sihota

Jeevan recently came by the studio @thegolfperformanceproject to do some putter testing as we worked on building a backup TaylorMade armlock putter for him.
Jeevan has had an incredible year so far, Monday qualifying for two PGA Tour events: the RBC Canadian Open and the 3M Open. In those two starts, he actually gained strokes on the field with his putting, averaging an impressive +0.3225 SG: Putting per round.
So when you’re working with a player putting at that level, the goal isn’t necessarily to reinvent anything. It’s about understanding what they do well, measuring it, and making sure the equipment is helping rather than getting in the way.
First, we looked at the loft and launch conditions.
The original TaylorMade putter was at 6° of loft, which was producing too much launch on the ball (Slide 2) which made the ball bounce and thus roll inconsistently. I bent the putter from 6° to 5° of loft, which dramatically improved the launch characteristics (Slide 3) and brought the launch much closer to what Jeevan produces with his current gamer (Slide 1).
From there, we looked at aim, face control, and tempo using a putter sensor (Slide 4).
One thing that really stood out was Jeevan’s incredible face control. His ability to consistently control the putter face is a huge part of what contributes to his stellar putting performance.
It was a really cool opportunity to dive deeper into the numbers and see how small equipment changes can affect a player who is already performing at an extremely high level.

I’m honoured to have the opportunity to do some testing with Jeevan and support him on his journey. Being able to work with a player competing at this level and dive into the details is something I really enjoy. Looking forward to seeing where the journey goes from here. by @thegolfperformanceproject
