ALMOST SOLD OUT COLLECTION AND A COMMISSION FOR MY FIRST EXHIBITION! Jardim de Deus exhibition was a success. And that was not the success of the event, the success was obedience either way!👩‍🎨🎨 Thankful to all who showed up, supported, bought an art piece and supported in so many little ways. Most of the original artworks were sold but there are a couple left and there will be prints available on the website which will be officially launched this week. Graças a Deus! #thegoodeyeart #jardimdedeus #oilpastels #saopauloarte #saopauloexhibition by @thegoodeyeart
Jardim de Deus (God’s garden) When I think of God’s garden, I think of diversity. Different colours, forms, textures and shapes growing alongside one another, each contributing to the beauty of the whole. Their differences are part of what makes the garden beautiful. This is the lens through which I see São Paulo. A city of different buildings, architectural styles, materials and colours, where old and new, nature and concrete, exist together. High rise buildings seeming to grow out of the trees. Like a garden. And behind the architecture is a city filled with people from different races, cultures, histories and backgrounds. This diversity could be seen as a kind of garden. Jardim de Deus is my interpretation of São Paulo and by extension, Brasil, through this lens — using architecture, colour and form to explore the beauty of difference and coexistence. These oil pastel paintings are my invitation to see the city differently: as a garden. Até amanhã.🫶🏽 #jardimdedeus #thegoodeyeart #oilpastels #saopauloarte #oilpastelart by @thegoodeyeart

Growing up, I read a lot of books that had a “cabin or cottage in the woods”. It always seemed so intriguing to me. Like a “secret place” of sorts. As a child, I felt it would be so enchanting and always wondered what it would feel like to be in one. Our first holiday in Sao Paulo, I sought out a cabin in the woods (first of all I had no idea that Sao Paulo had such an incredible countryside). I joked as we drove in that I’m living in my little childhood storybook dreams. As we explored the woods and I walked back up the steps to the cabin, holding my 2-year-old(at the time) son’s hand while he enthusiastically counted each step, I thought about our journey. Coming to Brazil as gringos and missionaries is the craziest thing we’ve done so far. The last thing I expected to find here was that small, forgotten, trivial to some, childhood desire. Each step was a simple reminder to me - “The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way.” It’s interesting, the little things you stumble on along the way of obedience. 📍Campos do Jordão #thegoodeyeart #camposdojordão #camposdojordao #oilpastelart #oilpastels by @thegoodeyeart
I’m always geeking out when I hold my digital artwork in my hands. It doesn’t look like it in the video but I did a few cartwheels 🤸‍♀️ when I received my art prints in the mail.😆 Glória a Deus. Prints available for purchase. #creativityisworship #saopauloarte #thegoodeyeart #inbloom #digitalpainting by @thegoodeyeart
Exploring new mediums and loving the process. I’ve used other mediums in the past but never oil pastels and I’m loving it so far. 🎨 Using Pentel oil pastels to practice while waiting on Gallery Mungyo soft oil pastels. #oilpastelsonpaper #oilpastelartist #oilpastelartwork #saopauloarte #brazilart by @thegoodeyeart
