Red Carpet Host for LWB Lagos, Nigeria. 🎤 Limitless Without Borders, Lagos @limitless_without_borders brought together over 1,500 professionals, creators, founders, students and industry leaders in one room, creating a platform for meaningful connections, shared experiences and honest conversations around building beyond borders. I had the privilege of serving as the Red Carpet Host, engaging with some of the brilliant minds who walked through the doors and capturing the stories, insights and energy that made this experience what it was. A huge thank you to @coachruky for trusting me on this project. I truly enjoyed being part of the LWB Lagos experience. ❤️ And to the entire Lagos and London teams who worked behind the scenes to bring this edition to life, thank you for the vision, coordination and execution that made it possible. Limitless Without Borders Lagos was more than an event. It was a room full of people building, connecting and thinking beyond the borders that exist around them. Grateful to have played my part. 🎤🌍 Outfit: @house_of_sirie Hair: @tokesluxury @limitless_without_borders @coachruky @thelaurelexperience @luxe_event_hire @eventpadi #eventhost #redcarpethost #femalemc #mediagirl by @thegracealex_
Post 2/4: Event Highlight - JCI TOYP/IYD 🎤💫 Being a youth in one of Africa’s richest country is such an amazing thing but you know what makes it more beautiful, the recognition and honor that outstanding young Nigerians get on a local and global stage. What a privilege it was to co-host the Closing Ceremony of the Lagos State Public Service Accelerator Programme.🎤 This visionary program is a first of its kind initiative by the Lagos State Ministry of Establishments and Training to ensure not only effective but excellent service to the people. It is designed to help sharpen the leadership skills and prepare civil servants to drive excellence and innovation across the public service. This event gathered HNI’s like the Governor of Lagos State, ably represented by the Deputy Governor - Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, honorable commissioners, permanent secretaries, senior special advisors, professors, civil servants and the first cohort graduating from this initiative. It was truly an honour serving as the guide through this landmark event! Special shout out to a woman who believes greatly in me! @toyinatanda_ Thank you for your continuous support and platform placements! 💕 Here is to more great works with the Lagos State Government, Nigeria and the world at large! Honoured to have been the Co-Host for the Grand Finale of the Lagos State Public Service Accelerator Programme, Cohort 2.🎤 The occasion was a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, and a fireside chat that gave the graduating public servants the opportunity to engage in a one-on-one conversation with Mr. Governor on leadership, public service, and building the Lagos we want. It was a memorable occasion, and a privilege to be part of a moment that brought together service, leadership, and the future of public administration in Lagos. Filled with inspiring conversations, recognition, celebration, and a strong sense of purpose as we celebrated 100 public servants who had completed an intensive three-month leadership and capacity development programme. Grateful for the opportunity to co-host this occasion alongside a seasoned professional and leader I deeply respect @damolaismyname and to once again be trusted with a room of this significance. Special thanks to the SSA to the Governor on Establishment and Training @toyinatanda_ , for constantly giving me the opportunity to be in these rooms and trusting me to contribute my voice and craft to moments that matter. Grateful for you! ❤️ I’m always grateful for opportunities to serve and to do what I love in rooms where meaningful conversations are happening. Another one for the books. 🎤💫 Grace Emelahor is still taking bookings for the last quarter of the year, you can send a dm or email to - hellogracealex@gmail.com 📩 Outfit by: @comfort.couture Song: Light by @theoladunniii #eventhost #femalemc #femalemcinlagos #compere #mcinlagos eventhosting corporateevents corporateeventhost Lagos by @thegracealex_

An event like @limitless_without_borders doesn’t come together through one person or one team. It takes a community of people, brands, partners and vendors who believe in the vision and are willing to bring their own excellence to it. And for LWB Lagos 4.0, you showed up. To every partner who supported the vision, amplified the message, connected us to the right people and helped us create an even greater experience thank you. To every vendor who brought your creativity, expertise, products and services into the experience you didn't just provide a service. You added colour, energy and life to LWB Lagos 4.0. From the experiences our attendees enjoyed, to the brands they discovered, the connections they made and the memories they took home your contribution was part of the story. As an event host, you prepare your script, build your transitions, study the programme flow and anticipate how the event will unfold. But sometimes, the audience you eventually meet is not the audience you imagined while preparing. The energy in the room may be different, response may be different. The moment may call for something completely different from what you have written down. And that is where the ability to think on your feet becomes important. Knowing what to say when it is no longer what you prepared to say while still keeping it aligned with the event’s theme, the audience, the brand and the industry you are representing, is a skill every host should intentionally develop. This is why hosting goes beyond having a beautiful script. You have to know what you are talking about. Research is a huge part of my preparation. I don’t just study my running order; I take time to understand the industry, the brand, the people in the room and the context of the event. Because the more you understand, the easier it becomes to create relevant transitions, respond naturally and keep the room engaged when the unexpected happens. And while I am deeply grateful to God for the gift of speech and the ability to put words together, I have also learnt that a gift still needs to be developed. Word formation, articulation, vocabulary, quick thinking, storytelling and the ability to communicate an idea clearly are all things that can be strengthened through constant practice. The goal isn’t just to know what to say. It is to know what to say, when to say it, and why it matters in that moment. That, for me, is part of the art of hosting. 🎤✨ #eventhost #thoughts by @thegracealex_
There’s a lot more to building for global relevance than simply showing up, it’s about creating the right conversations, connections, and opportunities. In this interview, Alex Godber, Investment & Visa Endorsement Manager @envestorsuk , shares his perspective on the experience, the conversations that happened, and why events like this matter for people looking to expand their opportunities beyond borders. From investment and immigration to career growth and global connections, the message is clear: the world is becoming more connected, and we must be ready to take our place in it. This is what Building for Global Relevance looked like at @limitless_without_borders Red carpet host- @thegracealex_ Watch Alex’s full insight and hear it directly from someone working at the intersection of investment, innovation and global mobility. #LimitlessWithoutBorders #LWB40 #BuildingForGlobalRelevance #GlobalOpportunities by @thegracealex_
Global careers require more than qualifications they require the right skills, strategy, mindset, and influence. At LWB Lagos 4.0, we were privileged to have @theaderonkesalami , HR Consultant and ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, take the stage for an insightful session on Global Career Readiness, Skills, Strategy & Influence. She shared practical insights on what it truly takes to position yourself for opportunities beyond borders, build career relevance, and navigate the global professional space with confidence. Her session was a powerful reminder that being qualified is one thing; being globally ready is another. Thank you, Aderonke, for sharing your expertise and helping our community think bigger, position better, and prepare for the world of work.
