What a night.

Honored to serve as Music Director for @asaprocky official Don't Be Dumb US Tour finale after-party at @bluenotenyc

Much love to @rexkudo for bringing me into this one, and to @jxpvtty for leading the creative on the ground and making the entire operation feel effortless.

The @sacredfamily saga continues.

More from this unforgettable night soon.

MEET THE FILM TEAM // 🎬 HAROLD O'NEAL - Producer

I'm excited to share a little more about my role in WAACKING, a documentary we've been bringing to life over the past five years!

For those who don't know, I'm a pianist, composer, producer, and creative advisor. My career has taken me from collaborating with artists like @jayz, @u2, and @asaprocky to working with @pixar on the Academy Award-winning film Soul, and contributing my talents to projects and events with @aspenideas, @google, and the @clooneyfoundation for Justice.

Throughout my career, I've been drawn to stories that connect music, culture, creativity, and the human experience.

WAACKING is one of those stories.

Born in the underground gay clubs of 1970s Los Angeles, waacking has grown into a global movement of artistic expression, freedom, and community. Our film follows Princess Lockerooo and New York's first waacking dance company as they travel to China to compete on the international stage.

As a producer, it's been an incredible journey helping bring this story to life alongside a talented team of filmmakers and artists.

We're closing in on $40K on Kickstarter and getting closer to our $50K goal! 🙌

If you're able to contribute or share our campaign, we'd be incredibly grateful. Every pledge brings us closer to getting this story onto the screen.

WE’VE LAUNCHED OUR KICKSTARTER!

We have a big goal: raising $50,000 to finish our feature documentary, WAACKING. We’ve been working on this film for five years, and now we need your help to bring it across the finish line!

Born in the underground gay clubs of Los Angeles, waacking made its way onto Soul Train and into pop culture before being devastated by the AIDS crisis and nearly lost to history. Today, it’s a global movement for self-expression and empowerment.

Made in partnership with award-winning filmmakers and the waacking community, WAACKING is an independent documentary now in post-production. We need your help to finish this documentary and bring this story to the world.

Please help preserve this history and make sure it’s never forgotten again. Contribute through the link in our bio and share this campaign with your networks!

We’re so grateful for your support.

For Harold O’Neal (@theharoldoneal) to find freedom in music, he had to embrace every genre. 🎶

We spoke to the pianist and former Aspen Ideas Fellow about his new work with the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library and how it shifted his perspective on musical storytelling.

Back in Aspen.

Grateful to be returning to the @aspenideas Festival—this time not only to lead a storytelling workshop, but also to host and moderate ChopinGPT: AI & Creativity.

I'll be joined by three incredible artists whose work has me genuinely excited: @sashastiles, @paolaprestini, and @adpianist.

We're exploring questions I've been thinking about for a long time: What happens when art and AI meet? Can technology deepen creativity? What does it mean to create in this new era?

Looking forward to the conversations, the people, and everything I'll learn along the way.

If you're in Aspen this week, I'd love to say hello.

Excited to be joining Aspen Ideas Festival this summer as a speaker, where I'll also be facilitating a special experience at the intersection of music, story, and human connection.

Looking forward to a week of big ideas, meaningful conversations, and remarkable people.

See you in Aspen.
