Strovori Mushroom Blends were a hit at @thebigcarrot today 🍄☕️🙌🏼 Rosario, Founder and CEO of @strovoricoffee, joined me in the courtyard to share chilled Lion’s Focus 🍄‍🟫 Coffee and warm Vitality 🍄‍🟫 Tea Blend with customers throughout the afternoon At The Healing Junction, so much of what I love to do is connect like-minded brands, people and communities that share a more mindful approach to everyday living🌿 That’s one of the reasons I love working with Strovori. Their philosophy of slowing down and creating gentle daily rituals aligns so beautifully with what The Healing Junction is all about—bringing intention, connection and wellness into the everyday✨ It was wonderful to spend the afternoon connecting with people looking for simple, enjoyable ways to bring a little more balance and mindfulness into their day Thank you to The Big Carrot team and everyone who stopped by! 🥕🌿 We look forward to seeing you again at The Big Carrot 🙌🏼 by @thehealingjunction
Connecting wellness brands, retailers and communities through education, conversation and genuine human connection 🌿✨ Always a pleasure connecting with Gifty, Supplements Manager at Nature’s Emporium One York St in downtown Toronto🌟 Relationships like these are at the heart of what I do through The Healing Junction 🌈 I work alongside like-minded wellness brands to bring their products into the community through in-store demos, sampling, customer education and meaningful conversations—helping people better understand the products on the shelves and the people and philosophies behind them In this photo, I’m at my demo table in the Health & Beauty section representing @thearomatherapist_com, a Canadian, women-run brand I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside. Their handcrafted hydrosols, essential oils and aromatherapy offerings create such a natural opportunity for education, discovery and connection🌿 I’ve truly enjoyed building my relationship with @naturescanada over the years and deeply appreciate their continued openness to welcoming natural wellness education and offerings into their stores💚 For me, a great demo is about so much more than handing out samples or making a sale. It’s an opportunity to connect a brand with the people it was created to serve, support retailers and their teams, answer questions, share knowledge and create an experience around the product That’s The Healing Junction💚 Connecting like-minded brands, people and community—one conversation at a time✨ by @thehealingjunction
Wellness education is at the heart of what I do through The Healing Junction🌿✨ Alongside in-store brand demonstrations, I offer staff education and Lunch & Learn sessions designed to help natural health retailers and wellness brands bring their products, philosophies and teachings to life I believe that when staff understand not only what they’re selling, but the education and intention behind it, they’re better equipped to have meaningful conversations with the customers they serve These photos represent a wonderful example of that work ✨ One is with Dr. Peter Jentschura, whose decades of work in alkaline living and regenerative wellness have been central to the philosophy behind P. Jentschura ✨ The other is with Stephan Wilmes, founder of You in Focus Products, who has helped bring P. Jentschura’s products and educational programs to communities across Canada Through my work with You in Focus, I’ve had the opportunity to provide Lunch & Learn education to Nature’s Emporium teams, sharing P. Jentschura’s 3 Steps to Alkalize & Regenerative Health and helping staff deepen their knowledge of the philosophy and products they’re introducing to customers This is one of my favourite parts of my work💚 The Healing Junction connects like-minded brands, retailers, people and communities through education—and staff training is an important part of that connection Whether it’s a Lunch & Learn, product education session or an opportunity to introduce your team to the deeper story behind a wellness brand, I love creating approachable, engaging spaces where people can learn, ask questions and leave feeling more confident in what they’re sharing 🌿 Staff Education 🌿 Lunch & Learns 🌿 Product & Brand Training 🌿 In-Store Demonstrations Interested in bringing educational programming to your team or retail partners? I’d love to connect✨ by @thehealingjunction
Did you know that if you’re in the GTA, you can have delicious, nutritious muffins and other baked goodies made with wholesome ingredients delivered right to your door?! 🧁❤️ Mary’s Muffins makes it possible! 🌟 Mary creates the most incredible recipes using thoughtfully selected ingredients, and I absolutely love the story and purpose behind her business: making healthier, convenient food options more accessible! And I’m all for supporting women-owned businesses, especially those with such a wonderful mission! ❤️ These are my personal favourites! 😍 Made with 100% buckwheat flour (naturally gluten-free and alkaline-forming), banana, and strawberries! 🍓🍌 I cut my muffin into four, lightly toasted each piece, and topped them with natural cream cheese and strawberry jam. Absolutely DELICIOUS! 😋 If you’re in the GTA, check out Mary’s Muffins and show this wonderful woman-owned business some love! ❤️ #MarysMuffins #SupportWomenOwnedBusinesses #ShopLocal #HealthyEating #GTA by @thehealingjunction
Found these old photos — Trinity Commons, B-Town! Wow… 20 years really have flown by! ❤ My journey in natural health began at just 17! With no experience, I asked two wonderful women running a health food store to give me a chance. Thankfully, they did! ❤️ They introduced me to herbal medicine, nutrition, and holistic wellness. Back then, I thought they were wild for fasting on grapes and herbal teas with raw honey for two weeks! 🍇😂 I wasn’t quite ready to walk the talk! Still going to raves! 😜 I remember the time my colleague had the “bright idea” to “sneak” chicken wings and pizza under the cash counter. Naturally, she had to twist my rubber arm! 😂 Then a customer caught us mid-bite and exclaimed, “WAIT… you work in a HEALTH FOOD STORE and you’re eating THAT?!” 🤣 Busted! 🤭 Somewhere between the herbal teas and chicken wings, I discovered how much I loved helping people. That passion led me to GNC. I’ll never forget arriving at my interview in a skirt and jacket suit, confidently sharing my product knowledge and requesting 40 hours a week. “So you want to be a manager?” he asked. “OK!” I replied. 😄 Before long, I was entrusted with a brand-new GNC to build from scratch! I assembled a wonderful team, and together we exceeded monthly sales targets. I was so proud the day our GNC sign first went up! ❤️ And yes, I loved those commissions! 💸🤣 But what stays with me most isn’t the money. It’s the invaluable professional sales training, mentorship, friendships, leadership lessons, and the wonderful community we created. I learned to believe in myself, recognize others’ potential, and value community and mutual support. All these years later, I’m still connecting with people, sharing knowledge, and supporting their wellness journeys—now with deeper wisdom from years of learning and applying alkaline health and holistic wellness principles in my own life. I’m forever grateful to those who believed in a young woman with little experience but plenty of enthusiasm. Sometimes all someone needs is an opportunity, encouragement, and someone willing to believe in them. ❤️ And perhaps a little junk food along the way! 🤭 What a journey it’s been! by @thehealingjunction
🌿 Throwback to 2013 — stepping onto the stage, facing my fears and finding my voice in the natural health industry! As a keynote speaker at Toronto’s Total Health Show and spokesperson for P Jentschura, I had the opportunity to share my passion and knowledge of natural health and wellness with a wider audience But the real milestone was personal — stepping onto that stage despite my anxiety around public speaking, trusting in what I had to share and discovering that I could grow more confident by embracing opportunities that challenged me I was fortunate to be surrounded by an incredible group of supportive, knowledgeable and genuinely caring women who, to me, truly embody what it means to live and share a passion for health and wellness — wonderful holistic nutritionists whose encouragement and kindness made the experience even more meaningful 💚 I’ve always had a special place in my heart for the natural health food industry and the people and businesses who have helped shape it And one thing that hasn’t changed over the years is my belief in supporting local, independent Canadian businesses Stores like The Big Carrot and Nature’s Emporium are such valuable parts of our communities, places where we can discover wonderful products, connect with knowledgeable people and support the brands and individuals who are passionate about natural health But these businesses need our continued support to thrive 🌱 If you love the world of natural foods and wellness, I encourage you to shop in-store whenever possible Every purchase helps support Canadian businesses, local jobs and the wonderful natural health community we’ve built together Here’s to honouring where we’ve come from and continuing to support the people and places that make this industry so special 💚 p-jentschura.ca #Throwback #NaturalHealthIndustry #SupportLocal #ShopCanadian #TheHealingJunction by @thehealingjunction
🌿 Looking Ahead to 2027 | The Healing Junction Toronto is an epicenter for Canada’s growing holistic health and wellness community! As I look toward 2027, I’m aligning my work more closely with this vibrant and growing community 🏙️ Today, even leaving Oakville at 3:45pm, one would think ‘to beat rush hour’, my commute home was still over an hour 🙃🚗 The map in the second photo was captured about 20 minutes into my drive, when traffic became particularly heavy and I found myself sitting at a standstill — with another 45 minutes still to go! It’s been a pleasure supporting health food stores and holistic brands throughout Oakville, Burlington and Newmarket over the years 💚 And as someone who works in the health and wellness field, I believe it’s important to honour the same principles I encourage in others By prioritizing my own health and well-being, I can bring a more calm, centred and joyful presence to the work I love Focusing my in-person services within Toronto isn’t just about creating a more sustainable balance for myself — it’s also about meeting the growing needs of Canadian holistic brands through consistent, meaningful representation and connection 🌟 ✨ Are you a Canadian holistic health or wellness brand looking for support in the Downtown Toronto core? I’d love to explore opportunities to collaborate through in-store demonstrations, product education, staff training and brand representation 🌿 Let’s connect! REIKI & PHYSICAL PAIN RELIEF 🌿 What does clinical research tell us? 2026 | Immediate Pain Relief 😮‍💨 A study examining over 1,200 Reiki sessions found that participants who experienced physical sensations during Reiki reported greater pain relief immediately afterward 2024 | Reiki & Joint Pain 😌 A randomized controlled trial involving people with knee osteoarthritis found that adding Reiki to standard care was associated with lower reported pain scores What does this mean? These findings highlight Reiki’s potential as a complementary approach to supporting physical comfort and pain management, while further research is needed My Personal Experience 🌿 Through my own experiences, I’ve come to recognize how physical pain can sometimes arise when something is out of balance emotionally or mentally. After all, the mind and body are deeply interconnected I believe that Reiki’s nurturing, calming and supportive qualities can contribute to pain relief by encouraging deep relaxation and helping the body settle into a more restful state I personally turn to self-Reiki to support myself when experiencing migraines or physical discomfort after exercise. It’s become a meaningful part of how I care for myself and respond to what my body needs Reiki is a complementary practice, not a replacement for medical care ✨ Curious to learn more? Today at The Big Carrot Danforth Community Market 🍄☕️🌿@thebigcarrot I had the pleasure of supporting @strovori through @thehealingjunction — a Canadian functional mushroom coffee and tea brand I love Strovori’s reminder to slow down and treat our favourite beverages as part of a daily ritual — slow mornings, slow moments 😌✨ Seniors Day was bustling, yet people still took their time, asked thoughtful questions and engaged. That’s exactly the kind of presence I hope to bring to my demos ☺️ I love seeing the growing knowledge and curiosity around medicinal mushrooms, and I’m grateful that @thebigcarrot makes products like these accessible to the community through their Herbal Dispensary 🌿 Supporting Canadian brands, community-based retailers and everyday well-being ♥️🇨🇦 Events Calendar 💻👉🏼 https://thebigcarrot.ca/pages/events #MedicinalMushrooms #FunctionalMushrooms #TheBigCarrot #CanadianWellness #TheHealingJunction by @thehealingjunction
Rest is an act of self-love, not something we need to earn 🌿 Learning to honour my needs, recognize my limits and release the guilt associated with slowing down has been an important part of my healing journey We are human beings, not human doings. Our worth is not measured by how much we accomplish May we all learn to extend the same compassion and care to ourselves that we so freely offer others 🤍 #RestIsSelfCare #SelfCompassion #ReikiHealing #MindfulLiving #TheHealingJunction by @thehealingjunction
A beautiful visit to @chocosoltraders today as we approach Samhain and Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead), a time when the veil between our world and the spirit world is believed to be at its thinnest 🕯️✨ Taking a moment to slow down and treat myself to some high-quality, ethically sourced cacao, enjoyed as a medicinal beverage and a nourishing ritual for the body and spirit 🍫🤎 I was also gifted a sample of one of their beautiful chocolate skulls, which contains the rare albino cacao bean! 💀 I love supporting socially responsible businesses that honour the earth, their communities and the traditions behind the foods we enjoy 🌎 A little sweetness, a little magic and a beautiful reminder to savour life’s simple pleasures 🍂🤎 #ChocoSol #Samhain #DayOfTheDead #Cacao #TheHealingJunction by @thehealingjunction
