I can’t believe I’m finally getting to share this with you. First, let me thank God for creating the time in my wild life to write this. I so wholeheartedly believe these words only came because of him. I didn’t write this on top of the mountain. I’m no literary expert and certainly not a preacher.

But I am a woman who learned that the quicker I surrendered control in the chaotic circumstances encircling my life, the easier it was to receive the true joy and pervasive peace promised to me daily. I wrote this before the appointment I learned my daughter was deaf. I wrote this the night I was processing her diagnosis. I wrote this in the waiting room of my husband‘s biopsy and also during his surgery to remove the tumor. This book was written in the daily battle for joy and peace while the circumstances around me constantly brought me to my knees in surrender.

If you are in the middle of a storm, in the middle of any chaos, and fighting for your joy and peace, this is for you. Because friend, your joy and peace are not dependent on your circumstances. Living open-handed isn’t something we’re born with. We practice surrendering control and trust the Lord with it all because he IS there in it all. When he doesn’t change your circumstances, he will change your heart, and I hope this 90-day devotional spurs you on to receive the joy & peace promised to you today.

Pre-order with the in my bio. Thank you for your support. It means the absolute world to me.

In the mood to testify this morning. “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10 🤍🔥 I can’t earn it and some strange force can’t take it away. Thank God! #christianquotesdaily by @thehonestshruth

We were lucky enough to have the amazing @madisontevlin interviewing our speakers and guests at our Laguna Beach conference (shoutout @thehonestshruth!)… who will our Pink Carpet host be next?! Drop your guest guesses in the comments!! 🤍

Wimbledon 2026… incredible. There’s a reason tennis is the best sport in the world. 🤪🫶🏽 But actually.. as someone who has played my whole life, watching the women’s doubles finals, the men’s number one and two play in the finals, and the youth finals (wow those kids!) is something I will cherish forever. A life bucket-list item. Also Princess Kate is truly a graceful beauty and, strawberries and cream are actually good.

To the exceptional friends and my thoughtful husband (OF TEN YEARS TY GOD!) who made this surprise happen, I will never ever forget it! #wimbledon2026 by @thehonestshruth

Nantucket dump ⚓️🤍🦞💙🌊 We did a day trip by ferry from Hyannis just with our older two and it was a blast! We’ve gone before kids and that was fun too. With kids, your pace is just a little less leisurely but honestly we all had a great time. The last pic… lol. #nantucketisland #nantucketphotos #nantucket

Things I love about being an American, in no particular order: 🇺🇸

1. Freedom of speech…even when I disagree with someone. The fact that I GET to disagree is a gift I never want to take for granted.
2. As Reagan once said, “You can go to live in Germany or Italy, but you can’t become a German or an Italian... but anyone, from any corner of the world, can come to live in the United States and become an American.” I love that. We are a beautiful melting pot, and there isn’t one “look” that defines what it means to be American. 🫶🏼🫶🏾🫶🏿
3. The landscapes. Mountains, beaches, deserts, forests, rolling hills... we have some of the most breathtaking scenery in the world, all within one country. From sea to shining sea baby. 🌊
4. We get to vote, choose our leaders, and have a voice in shaping our future.
5. I know everyone loves a British accent... but I genuinely love American accents. Especially Texan. 🤟🏽
6. Our burgers & milkshakes. Sorry. They’re just the BEST. 🍔
7. The innovation. There’s something uniquely American about dreaming bigger, building better, solving problems, and refusing to settle. It motivated to run a blog, write a book, and more!
8. Opportunity. Watching my parents immigrate here and build a life from the ground up showed me firsthand that hard work, perseverance, and opportunity really can change the trajectory of a family.
9. I get to live out my faith in Jesus openly and teach my kids about Him openly too. What an incredible freedom!!! 🥹
10. The way we champion people of every ability. As a mom raising a cutie daughter with Down syndrome, I’m deeply grateful to be raising her here, where inclusion, therapies, education, and opportunities continue to grow.

Your turn! What’s on your list? 🇺🇸🤍❤️💙

New coffee spot in #NorthDFW !! ☕️ We wrangled the kids and tried @kotarakafe behind @growitlanddesigns this morning, and it was such a treat!

The iced banana-vanilla latte, everything bagel with veggie cream cheese, and banana muffin were all delicious. Tucked inside @growitlanddesigns, it feels like you’re sipping coffee in a little forest. 🌿🪴

Enjoy creative espresso and matcha drinks, plus a cozy spot to sit! Save this for your next free morning and let me know what you think! ☕️

Always encouraging when you see character growth in these little ones after what feels like constant correction. And when we see that maturity in character, we want to give them everything! 🥹🤍💦🎈
