Back in the beautiful city of Edinburgh this week, and what an incredible experience it has been.

From the stunning architecture and breathtaking landscapes to the rich history and vibrant culture, every moment reminded me why this city is so special. But beyond the places, it was about reconnecting with old friends, celebrating friendships, and meeting some amazing new people along the way.

One thing I’ve learned is to always appreciate the people who were there at the very beginning of your journey, not just during the good times, but through every challenge along the way. Those connections are priceless.

Life is all about finding balance, being grateful for where you’ve been, embracing where you are, and making room for all the exciting things still to come.

Here’s to great memories, genuine friendships, and new adventures.

I had such a positive experience attending Edinburgh’s Creative Industries: Pathways to Careers Event at the Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce this week. Representing my company, THE HOUSE OF RADHA, as a guest at the first event hosted by Creative Edinburgh, where they shared the journey and impact of the project throughout its first year.

It was fantastic to connect with representatives from educational institutions and industry partners to discuss how we can better support the next generation of creative talent in Edinburgh, helping to develop clearer creative pathways into industry while building stronger collaboration and partnerships across the sector.

It was also lovely to see the performing arts students and meet graduates who are just beginning their creative journeys. Hearing their ambitions, ideas, and experiences was incredibly inspiring and reinforced the importance of creating meaningful opportunities and support for emerging talent.

A special thank you to Clare Gibson for the kind introduction to the initiative and for showing me around the beautiful city of Edinburgh!

It’s been an incredible start to the year working across Scotland, bringing @thehouseofradha_ltd to Glasgow, Ayrshire and Edinburgh.

From delivering workshops to speaking at creative future events, this journey has been about more than just sharing our work; it’s been about opening doors, sparking ideas, and connecting with the next generation of artists, creatives and entrepreneurs.

A huge thank you to Clare Gibson and Ros Fraser from Discover Creative Careers for making this all happen through thoughtful coordination and a shared commitment to nurturing future talent.

Throughout these events, I had the opportunity to:
• Engage with students and parents, exploring creative pathways
• Share real-world insights into careers across the creative industries
• Highlight the breadth of opportunities available beyond traditional roles
• Offer practical guidance on progression, work experience and entry routes
• Connect with educators, colleges, and industry professionals shaping the future workforce

What stood out most was the curiosity, passion and potential of the young people I met. Many are eager to pursue creative careers but need clarity, encouragement and access. Creating space for those conversations and reassuring families that the creative industries are viable, sustainable and impactful career choices felt incredibly important.

This journey reminds me why I love what I do!

We are just getting started. Scotland, thank you for the energy and inspiration! #fashion #art #music #education #scotland by @thehouseofradha_ltd

In 2025, I spent time working with young people aged 9–16 and children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to understand their learning needs and support their development and confidence in schools.

This inspired me to create the NextGen Creative Industries Discovery Sessions, designed to introduce children to the wider creative industries and showcase role models who encourage them to follow their dreams and develop new skills.

Our first workshops and industry talks will be held at St Aloysius College in Glasgow, Scotland. A prestigious College known for its rich history and community values. The college is proud to welcome pupils from across the region to explore creative career pathways, and their involvement reflects a strong commitment to collaboration, inclusion, and nurturing young talent.

I will be working alongside industry expert and photographer @photographybydavids David Solomon, who brings over 30 years of experience in the creative industries.

Sessions are available to book on 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th February 2026.
Contact via email contact@thehouseofradha.co.uk, or through our website. Limited February availability.

https://www.thehouseofradha.co.uk/nextgen-creative-industries-discovery-sessions

What students will experience:
✔ Industry insight into real creative career pathways
✔ Hands-on, age-appropriate creative workshop and talk
✔ Live Q&A with industry professionals
✔ Certificate of Achievement and group photos

The engaging sessions build confidence, creativity, and career awareness, and can be tailored to all students, including children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), to support inclusive learning and participation. If this resonates with schools, teachers, or students who would benefit from these sessions, please share this post. Thank you!

We’re so proud to share the incredible results of a special Art and Design project led by THE HOUSE OF RADHA, in collaboration with the Kelly Academy of Hope Uganda and South Sudan.

Students were invited to create artwork that reflects what makes them happy about coming to school and learning. Using paints, crayons, and coloured pencils, they expressed their thoughts, emotions, and dreams with extraordinary creativity and heart. Each student also presented their piece to the class, sharing a personal sentence about its meaning. A beautiful moment of confidence-building, self-expression, and emotional connection. This project wasn’t just about art - it was about empowerment, healing, and giving voice to the children’s experiences and aspirations.

Since opening its doors in 2023, the Kelly Academy of Hope has become a beacon of opportunity, with over 200 pupils enrolled, half of them girls. With education in both English and Arabic, solar power, clean water, and returning refugee teachers, the school is growing into something truly transformative.

If you are interested in supporting the charity and Academy, please contact me directly or @clive.a.kelly Dr Clive Kelly by email cliveryton@gmail.com and website: www.clivekelly.org

Thank you
