💊 Truth is…

Sometimes we judge the test too soon. I’ve realized that life has a way of applying pressure before we understand its purpose. We’ll mistaken the hardest moments for signs that things were falling apart, but in hindsight will realize that things were falling into place. We’ll judge a situation before we’ve seen what it’s capable of producing.

Laud Collective created a principle called the ESREVER Effect based on that logic…words appear backwards and confusing on a hand stamp until pressure is applied. Only then does the impression reveal a message that was there all along. Many of life’s struggles are the same way. Sometimes it’s the pressure of uncertainty, disappointment, or having our plans interrupted that brings the clarity that we couldn’t find in comfort.

I believe there’s purpose in every struggle, even if that purpose isn’t ours to benefit from. Sometimes the lesson is for us…while other times our experience becomes the wisdom to pass on. I’ve learned to be patient enough to pull a lesson from all of my experiences, both “good or bad”.

Pressure doesn’t change the message…it simply reveals what we couldn’t see before…💊

💊…It’s a difficult time to be someone trying to deliver a positive perspective on life in a era where hate travels faster than hope, division draws more attention than unity, and negativity has a permanent reservation on everyone’s timeline…almost as it were by design 🤔😒

It’s discouraging because I know how many people are truly hurting, while the very things fueling that hurt continue to command their attention (human negativity bias is a real thing).

I had to remind myself this weekend that I can’t let the world’s appetite for negativity starve out my desire to contribute something positive.

I guess the real test of purpose is whether people are willing to keep pouring when their own cup is running low.

Even those prescribing hope needs a refilled dose of their own medicine from time to time…💊

Good morning and keep going…Don’t let hate win!

💊…Life has a way of reminding us that being in control and having control are two different things.

You won’t always get to choose what happens to you, but you do have a say in what happens within you…sometimes, the weight of what we’re carrying has less to do with the situation itself and more to do with the perspective that we gain from it.

A shift in perspective won’t always change your circumstances, but it can change how those circumstances affect you. The same situation that once felt like a setback might eventually reveal itself as a setup for growth.

You don’t have to control every chapter to have a say in how your story unfolds…💊

💊 Truth is…

Two people can walk through the same storm and come out with completely different perspectives. One might remember the rain, while the other remembers what grew from it.

The more life I live, the better I understand that peace has less to do with what happens and more to do with how I perceive what happened.

The rain doesn’t decide whether it was a blessing or a burden. The object that it falls on does.💊

💊 I’ve come to understand that the distance between where you are and where you want to be is often measured in the things that nobody sees.

The sacrifices…uncertainty…the conversations you have with yourself when doubt starts speaking louder than ambition.

Some nights, the vision feels right there 🫳🏾….other nights, it feels like I’m chasing something that keeps moving further away…but I’ve learned not to confuse a slow pace with a wasted journey.

There’s a certain wisdom that only comes from continuing when you have no evidence that things are about to change.

I haven’t arrived yet, and truthfully, I don’t even know how much road I have left. But I do know that the man I was when I started wouldn’t have been able to carry what the man I’m becoming carries today.

It’s all part of the process 🤷🏽‍♂️

Before the world ever recognizes what you’re building, life will first build you into someone capable of sustaining it.

Until then, the grind continues.

💊 Healing has a way of teaching you things that pain never bothered to explain.

Sometimes you have to sit with what hurt you before you can stand on what it taught you. The breakthrough isn’t a new beginning, but an old situation you finally learned to see differently.

Perspective doesn’t promise a life without problems…it shows you how to draw value while navigating those problems.

Laud provides perspective in the form of fashion. The medicine is in the message.
Wear as needed! 📝

💊 LaHers was created to celebrate women of every shape, every size, every curve, and every version of the woman looking back in the mirror.

Your bodies aren’t just something to celebrate. They’re also where some of your hardest battles are fought.

Breast cancer can change a woman’s body, and that can change how she sees herself. Her relationship with femininity…Her confidence…Her sense of normalcy…And sometimes, it can leave her learning how to love a new version of her body.

This month is about more than wearing pink 👚

It’s about:

-honoring the women fighting 🫡
-remembering the women we’ve lost 💔
-supporting the survivors 🎗️
-standing beside the families 🤝
-reminding every woman that no diagnosis, scar, surgery, shape, or size determines her worth or takes away what makes her a woman. 🗣️🤚🏾👩🏼👩🏾‍🦱👩🏼‍🦳👩🏽‍🦱

Different bodies.
Different journeys.
The same strength.

This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, LaHers stands for HER. 🎀

Before a stamp hits the paper, everything looks backwards.

The words are reversed. The image looks wrong. And without knowing what it’s meant to become, it may not make sense at all.

Life can feel the same way!

Some experiences are hard to understand while we’re still living through them. What feels like a setback, rejection, loss, or uncertainty may look different when viewed from another side.

The stamp doesn’t change…the perspective does!

That’s what Laud is about…giving people a way to express what they’re going through, while offering another way to look at it.

Same experience. Different perspective.

Couch Therapy on the way…

💊 truth is…

With public opinion, everybody thinks a little information makes them well-informed.

Social media will give you 30 seconds of somebody’s relationship and have you thinking you know 30 years of their story…and if you aren’t careful, you’ll let people who only caught a glimpse have you second-guessing something you’ve experienced firsthand.

Perspective is one thing, but too many opinions will have you carrying other people’s assumptions around with you,

The judges and the jury has to remember that a window may let you see inside the house, but you still don’t know the temperature in there. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Protect your relationship…protect your mind…and be careful judging a story you’ve only read a sentence of. 💊

We’ve been conditioned to be entertained by controversy…

The arguing.
The drama.
The downfall.
The reaction.

But at some point, we should probably ask ourselves why chaos has become so entertaining to watch…

Maybe our obsession with everybody else’s problems is keeping us from dealing with a few of our own.

🤔 Yeah…

We might need to talk about this one

💊 Truth is…

Sometimes we’re so groomed by tradition that we treat what we were taught as scripture.

We gotta remember…we were taught by people who were still trying to figure life out 🤷🏽‍♂️…

They gave us wisdom from their experiences, or from what was passed down to them…but their experiences aren’t ours.

At some point, life will show you something that contradicts what you were taught…and if your response is always, “That’s how I was raised” or “That’s what I was taught,” you leave no room for your mind to grow beyond it.

Respect what was passed down to you, but leave room for life to teach you something new.

We just wanted to add a dose of positive perspective to your day. 💊
