Three days in Lima. One film.

Children picking up a racquet for the first time. Coaches learning from the best to have played. A city turning out at VIDENA.

The Legends’ Vision came to share what we know. What happens next belongs to Peru.

It is being built. Together.

History has a name now.

Six clubs came to Manhattan Beach. @leechongweiofficial and @nehwalsaina presented the first trophy. And one club left as something no one else can ever be - the First Champions of Club Championship North America.

A club outside Paris. Five Legends, two courts. Every point the juniors won, they kept as inspiration.

Carolina Marin, Lin Dan, Lee Yong Dae, Peter Gade and Taufik Hidayat spent a morning at VGA Stella Saint-Maur, and at the end chose one girl and one boy for what they showed on court, not how they played.

The full film is on YouTube. Link in bio.

Merci à tous les jeunes de Stella Saint-Maur.

Familiar faces in the crowd.

Three of our legends came together at this year’s YONEX French Open finals.

A tournament where each has made their mark as a champion! 🙌🏼🏸

More to come.

Peter Gade, Fernando Rivas, Marcus Gideon, Tony Gunawan, He Bing Jiao.

Five badminton systems in one room for three days, working with a sixth. Peru’s coaches, clubs and federation were building long before anyone landed. The Legacy Tour’s job was to bring what each of them knows and leave it with the people doing the building.

The full story of Lima is coming soon.

The exhibition gave Lima one big night. The coaches are the ones who’ll still be on court next year, and the year after.

So most of the Legends’ time in Peru went to them: sharing ideas, swapping methods, learning how the game is being built there.

The players who come through next will be shaped by those coaches, not by us.

Lima has the players. It also has coaches, clubs and a federation working to connect a school hall to a national programme.

The Legacy Tour went to back that work.

The full story is coming.

El Primer Golpe. The First Hit.

Tomorrow in Huelva, the programme named for that moment begins its first school session - the instant a child connects with a shuttle for the very first time.

The Legacy Tour was the beginning. This is what it leaves behind: the next session, the next coach, the next child who keeps playing.

Huelva, we’ll see you tomorrow 🇪🇸

Day two, the club.

They have arrived.

It’s nearly time for @petergadeofficial, @marcusfernaldig, @t_gun75, @fernandorivasba and He Bing Jiao to take to the court in Peru.
