Another great TEA Parent Meeting in the books! This month our student athletes learned about the academic requirements to compete at the next level and heard real stories and experiences from our guest speakers.

Special thanks to @raynaldo2k and @wrldof.j10 for sharing their journeys, and to our sponsors @morelandsacademy @jcc_foundation @bojos_seafoodkitchen for helping make this experience possible!

So we did a thing! 🤗

In the 10 years of running @thelesaneproject, one thing I learned is that we will only get so far if we don’t start educating the parents too.

Earlier this year, our core group of boys from the @educatedathlete program graduated from high school and either went off to college or entered the workforce. 🎓

Now, it’s time to bring together everything we’ve learned over the past 5 years through the TEA Program. 🏀🏈💰

Introducing the Educated Athlete Youth Sports Program, Parent Group! Huge thank you to our program sponsors, @morelandsacademy and @bojos_seafoodkitchen ! We appreciate your continued support of The LeSane Project and our programs! 💚 by @thelesaneproject

It’s an honor to keep my daddy’s legacy alive each year. 🧡💙 This year, we continued our tradition for the 3rd year in a row, giving out college care packages in his honor.

We were blessed to gift 10 deserving college students with care packages filled with a few things to help them start the school year off on the right foot and, more importantly, remind them that they are loved, supported, and believed in.

Special thank you to my mom @debra_lesane for her dedication to making this happen each year and putting these baskets together.

In loving memory of Nathan LeSane, Sr. 🧡💙

Keep going. Dream big. Make your mark. by @thelesaneproject

Year Three with First Tee ⛳️

When I think about my story and my life’s work, these two quotes come to mind:

“Failure is only the opportunity to try again.” - Henry Ford

“Failing forward is the ability to get back up after you’ve been knocked down, learn from your mistake, and move forward in a better direction.” - John C. Maxwell

One thing I know is that you’re only failing if you don’t keep trying. I thank God for keeping me on this journey and giving me the strength to keep going after all of the rejections, setbacks, and betrayals. My journey hasn’t been pretty, but God I’m so thankful that I don’t look like what I’ve been through.

This is my first time ever making it to three years with a full-time job. It might not seem like much to you but it’s a pretty big deal to me. I’m proud of the woman I’m becoming and I’m excited for what’s next.

… “Strength, Courage, and Wisdom. It’s been inside of me, all along.” by @thelesaneproject

Grateful is an understatement 🙌🏾
