POSTS STORIES REELS

It’s Earth Day, and we are supporting a cause with @onxhunt @meateater @threeriverslandtrust and @ncwildlife to save public land from development in North Carolina 🙏🌿

It’s a dire situation, and it’s at a point where we need to call on the public for help with a donation.

Click the link in our bio to watch the full film for the whole story, and the donation link through Three Rivers Land Trust 🙏

The day is finally here! Our documentary, Lionheart, is now live on YouTube. It’s been an unforgettable journey, and we couldn’t be more excited to share this story with you. A huge thank you to all the houndsmen who participated, and to the families we had the privilege of spending time with. Your stories and experiences were invaluable in making this film a reality. We’re also honored to have won multiple awards, including Best Cinematography and Best Documentary Short. Grateful for all the support!

Amidst all the posts about antlers and success stories this fall remember the real prize is what goes in your freezer.

Whether you’re a hunter in pursuit of the most mature animal you can find or someone simply looking to provide for their family while getting more connected to where their food comes from, success can mean many things, but most importantly it means meals on the table.

Our job as hunters often get’s overlooked in favor of stories surrounding mature animals, inches of antler, and personal interests. It’s easy to fall into a trap, idolizing and sharing only the things that we perceive as valuable to social media, when the truth is what’s valuable and needs more shares is the longterm health and sustainability of the resource and our interest in healthy food.

This year I’ve been blessed to harvest two incredible bucks, my best ever in fact, and while there are stories to share and details to come, right now I want to highlight all the meals these two incredible deer will provide while continuing to jump back into the woods with just as much effort to fill my doe tags, support friends, and play my part for conservation goals and putting food on the table.

Whether you tag the buck of a lifetime this year, or simply fill your freezer with whatever makes you happy in the moment, I hope you’re thankful for what you bring home and choose to celebrate each deer of your fall no matter the size. I encourage you to share the meals you provide as much as the antlers on the wall and embrace our role as conservation contributors while remembering that your freezer doesn’t care about inches, and neither do the hungry mouths that are happy for a healthy meal 📝 by @thelishen

Monday Thoughts: Prioritizing joy in the simplicity 🌄

I think we over complicate life a lot of the time. Life’s a hustle and bustle where we’re always chasing something new, something better, something exciting. We move from one window to the next inside our metaphorical little houses waiting to see something new instead of enjoying what we already have, or what we’re already looking at, perpetuating a dopamine cycle of the grass is greener that holds a firm grip on our minds while we normalize the need for more vices, more therapy, and more extremes to satisfy the feeling we once got from simply existing in the moment.

Maybe today, before the chaos of your week, stand in your yard, sit on your porch, balcony, or even lean back in your office chair and appreciate where you are, what you’ve seen, and what’s in your life right now, and for a moment, don’t worry about tomorrow. Take a moment to let yourself enjoy the little things, whether that’s a view of the mountains, a friend at work, a goal you’ve accomplished, or just a good cup of coffee.

Remember 10yr old you would be stoked with what you have and where you are. Don’t forget to slow down and enjoy that reality, don’t over complicate it. The grass is green right where you are.

Crazy how foggy life can get. We unknowingly spend our days just existing, quietly ruminating more often than not. Living in a world we’re creating for ourselves without realizing we’re the architect; growing numb to the routine and habit’s we become trapped in. In the moment, we turn to the mirror only to see it foggy. With our reflection hidden behind the steam of our everyday lives and our influences, we struggle to see who we’ve become. The fog clouds us, and makes it easy to misinterpret the figure in the mirror, or even unable to see him at all. So we continue, living as a blurry version of ourselves, not truly growing because we don’t even see who we’re becoming. It’s not until our world cools off, the mirror cracks, and the steam fades away, that we begin to see that the answer all along was looking right back at us the whole time.

If life’s taught me anything lately it’s that we need to take a hard look at ourselves and our actions every day. The mirror never lies if we’re willing to take control. Sometimes it just takes the effort to wipe away the fog, even if it’s hard. Reflection is part of life, painful and beautiful but requiring action, while we still have something left to build on. So make a point to grow. Frustration and awkwardness take 10 minutes to battle, regret can take 10 years.

Wishing we had more days with this crew! One of the best parts of this career is getting to spend time with awesome people in awesome places regardless of how hard the work is at times. At the end of the day, doing creative work isn’t always a glamorous or lucrative life, but the memories, experiences, and time spent with friends are worth every bit of the effort 🌿

From the day we started this business, our philosophy @landlimited has always been to “Do Good Work, With Good People”, and I’m proud to say we’re doing just that.

We were stoked to work with everyone pictured here, but even more stoked to call them all friends by the end of the trip 🤙 cheers to more days like this one, hope to see you all again soon 🍻
