While making Iris I returned to my roots of tin to fashion for her a kaleidoscope-style eye patch and a stitched heart. You can read more about her journey at @madcuttermonsters as well as other stories of other monster puppets who, despite their differences, are just right for something extraordinary. I’m hoping to write a book about them. by @themadcutter53

I was standing in line at a HomeGoods a few weeks ago and saw this can of tea. I loved the designs on it. Worked on a necklace this morning but you best believe those cute skeletons are begging to be earrings! Please DM for purchase information. #tinjewelry #upcycledtinjewelry by @themadcutter53

It’s that time of year: a fun game of pumpkin Tetris doing my mantle! 🧡💛🤎 by @themadcutter53

Sweet Joe got a crown made of varied pieces: the back of an Amaretto tin, two from childhood paint tins (I loved the face!), and a piece from a Coleman’s Mustard tin. Add some jewels on the tippy tops and voila…something I’ve never done before! This little monster puppet’s story will soon be posted on @madcuttermonsters if you’d like to follow! by @themadcutter53

Adorable Christmas tins I saw on some travels today. I didn’t buy any but starting to regret it!! by @themadcutter53

Any tin jewelry maker will tell you that there are days when you come across a gorgeous tin where you least expect it. The stars align…the angels weep, and you just want to shout hallelujah. This was my day when I spied this heavenly tin and felt like I needed oxygen or at least a hearty slap. I had these earrings in mind straight away but trust and believe: there is more goodness to come!! 💙💜 #tinjewelry #upcycledtinjewelry by @themadcutter53

I always seem to come across awesome murals in Louisville. 💜🧡🩷💙💚❤️ by @themadcutter53

I had a great time at Coffee Times Coffee House during a meet the author event for my book @proud_deaf_girl along with another local author. The best part of these events is seeing the kids! If you aren’t following my book page please do! by @themadcutter53

This heart is slightly moodier than my other one previously posted but still quite playful. Apparently there used to be mints that smoothed out your voice, making it more mellow. 😆 The top part of the necklace is full of flowers and leaves. I love these colors together. Both necklaces will soon be listed in my Etsy shop or message for purchase. #tin #tinjewelry #upcycledtinjewelry by @themadcutter53

Always love and appreciate my happy customers! by @themadcutter53

I’ve been wanting to cut into the old “Dustless Crayons” tin for quite a while. Do crayons even have dust?? 🤷‍♀️😆 I’m wondering if chalk was once called crayons…Anyway, with fall on the way I just love the color of it paired with the burst of fall flowers. #tinjewelry #upcycledtin by @themadcutter53

I thought the painted mural on this building in Frankfort Kentucky was so pretty. The sun was bright, sky was blue, and these birds against the vivid colors were so joyful to me! by @themadcutter53
