Ben Shelton or Frances Tiafoe WILL be the first Black American man to play in a U.S. Open final in more than half a century. The last man to do it has his name on the court they’re playing on — Arthur Ashe in 1972.

American Ben Shelton ousted defending U.S. Open champ Carlos Alcaraz in an EPIC tie-breaking, 5-set match that didn’t end until 3:30 AM! Now, he heads to the semifinals where he will face off against fellow American Frances Tiafoe. I talked about the latest tournament news coming out of Flushing, Queens. 🎾

*noted it’s pronounced Mick-el-sen, not Mike-el-sen
