We really appreciate the support and love! Thank you LJ, Wookie and Kez. X by @themondaysmile

“All it took was for my life to fall apart” quips LJ on how Pompey based The Monday Smile fumbled its way onto the UK altrock scene.

6 months later Polish powerhouse Wookie enters on drums, Fast forward 2 years and Russian bass man Dim completes the line up in 2026.

3 total misfits from completely different corners of the earth scratch the itch you can never quite reach.

Their music holds a broken mirror up to the farcical nature of society. They don’t just look behind the curtain, they burn it down. They speak to that feeling that says “ there’s something not right with this world”, A band in bed with the nothing’s, the outcasts and freaks. Their live show is unapologetically visceral, they ride on the waves of chaos, sending guitars to heaven and using the stage as therapy. They are 90’s nostalgia with a twist of the modern apathetic and they are yours if you want them to be.

We are super stoked to announce our good friend and new bass player Dim! @fakedimokracy is an incredible talent and we are grateful the universe bought us together. The energy and passion Dim brings to the band is going to be a huge part of the Monday Smile going forward. We can’t wait to share in the future of this band together. Welcome to the chaos brother 🤘🏻 #newbassplayer #altrock #band #music #artistsofinstagram by @themondaysmile
