Superbass!! Last night was a special one @thenashjazz , celebrating the centennial of the great Ray Brown! 🎻 Coming up, SuperBass 1 & 2 was on repeat! Ray Brown, John Clayton, and Christian McBride inspired a whole generation of bassists, myself included. I remember spending countless hours in the hallways of Duke Ellington with my bass bredren @dubonbass , @ameensaleem , and @benwmsonbass playing, shedding, and being inspired by those recordings. Fast forward to last night, having the opportunity to play some of that very music alongside the Incredible John Clayton and Cris Finet was truly a full-circle moment. The nostalgia was flowing. A HUGE thank you to master bassist John Clayton for his continued inspiration, incredible vibe, and absolute mastery of the instrument and the music. His generosity of spirit and musicianship are something special. It was an honor to share this moment and the stage with him! And of course the trio with @lewisnashdrums and Larry Fuller was 🔥Long live Ray Brown and his incredible legacy!🙏🏾💯 #JohnClayton #SuperBass #Bassist #CorcoranHolt #TheNash by @thenashjazz
