Happy Father's Day to the man who supports my dreams every single day.

Without you, I never would have realised how truly wonderful life can be.

Are we the right fit? 👶

My sessions aren't always what you expect. I am a mother first and foremost, this means sometimes sessions may get interrupted by little footsteps walking through the door.

At times the kids need comfort or a breastfeed. Other times they just want cuddles.

But its because of this, that they know about birth more than a lot of adults.

If you are okay with this, then maybe we are the right fit 🥰 by @thenestingcircle

They call it rebellious. We call it refusing to settle⚡️

Leaving The Convergence of Rebellious Midwives with a burning fire in my chest to dismantle the barriers letting women down every single day.

Women deserve fierce advocates, not quiet compliance. We are here to disrupt the standard, demand respect, and raise the bar for maternity care-unapologetically.

The future of birth work is unapologetic. 🌿🔥 by @thenestingcircle

A Minute With A Midwife 🎙️ with Roxy from @thenestingcircle

For almost all of human history, women didn’t give birth lying flat on a bed.

They walked. They swayed. They squatted. They leaned. They knelt. They instinctively moved with each contraction.

Movement isn’t just something that helps you “cope” with labour. It’s part of the physiology of birth.

Research shows that when women are free to move and adopt upright positions during labour, they are more likely to experience:
✨ Shorter labours
✨ Less need for epidural analgesia
✨ Fewer assisted vaginal births
✨ A lower likelihood of caesarean birth
✨ Greater comfort and a greater sense of control

Movement can also help your baby navigate the pelvis by creating more space and allowing your baby to rotate as labour progresses.

You may have heard the story that giving birth on the back became popular because of a European king. While historians debate how much influence that story actually had, what we do know is that lying on the back is often more convenient for the care provider than it is for the birthing woman.

Of course, if a woman chooses to labour or birth on her back because that’s where she feels most comfortable in that moment, that’s a completely different story.

The position that matters most isn’t the one someone tells you to get into. It’s the one your body instinctively guides you towards. When women are free to move without restriction, they’ll often sway, kneel, lean, squat, lunge and change positions as their baby descends. Birth is dynamic, and your body knows what it’s doing.

Because birth is movement. 🤍

The Convergence of Rebellious Midwives 2026.

A weekend spent filling our cups and fueling our fire.

Meeting new friends, connecting with other like-minded birth workers, and realising that we are never doing this work alone. There is so much magic, strength, and quiet revolution when we gather to protect, advocate for, and honor birth. My heart is completely full. ✊✨

I.👏 HAVE.👏 FAILED.👏

In part 2 of why support people should attend a Childbirth Masterclass.

THE UTERUS IS A WHAT???

So it makes sense why Matthew thought that it was bad if the baby grows in the uterus.
Yes, it is bad for babies to grow in the OVARIES 😂

The ovaries are part of the female reproductive system. They are responsible for producing and releasing eggs for reproduction. by @thenestingcircle

Smarter than an 8 year old? | Sometimes no.

My dearest husband, father of 4, showing why support people need to come to classes 😂

A uterus (also known as the womb) is an organ in the female pelvic region. Its primary functions are to nurture a developing foetus during pregnancy and to shed its lining (the endometrium) during menstruation.

This is just part 1. by @thenestingcircle
