Writing has always been a vital part of my life. It allows me to be creative, process my thoughts, keep things organized and so much more.

Somewhere along the way, the days got busier, and I wrote less often. As I've been writing more recently I realized how much I love it and how much clarity it can bring forth.

Whether you're in a season of transition, healing or simply want to slow down this is a perfect way to set the tone. So starting October 1st I'll be challenging myself to journal daily and I want to invite you all to join me.

How do you know when it's time to let go?

I have sat with this question all week and as we close out this month of writing the timing feels so divine.

Writing this past month has allowed me the space and capacity to visit many versions of myself and, with clarity, witness myself in many seasons. Somethings are only meant to be seasonal, people, places, and even opportunities, but as humans, releasing them can be hard. This transition can be forced, unexpected, or intentional.

Nostalgia will often have us holding on, a false sense of knowing and comfort. Potential will have us waiting for what might never come. However, when your grip is too tight your hands aren't open to receive what's next.

Seasons change. It's the nature of it all 🍂 by @theoddtaebl

Somewhere between overstimulated and exhaustion... motivation rises. I've had a long day, truthfully a long 10ish days, and sleep is calling my name but there's a part of me that's restless.

So I'll write, and I'll plan, and I'll get it out of my head and onto paper 📃 by @theoddtaebl

When did "I'm ok" or "I'm alright" become the standard response for emotions? Have you seen an emotions wheel? Do you know how many emotions there are?? Sooooo many!!

I get it, sometimes we are just ok, but often times it's so much more than that and our automatic response is to hold it. No one really cares that I'm worried or nervous, that my loved one being in the hospital scares the sh*t out of me. So... "I'm ok"

So & so is going through a rough patch let me not share my great news. People will think I'm full of myself or bragging, they don't want to hear about my joy and excitement. So... "ehh I'm alright"

😒🙄🙄

Feel your feelings, all 75 million of them!! Be passionate, feel disappointed, allow excitement, embrace hurt.

However, how can we be honest with someone else about how we feel if we aren't first honest with ourselves?

So, how are you today?

...and on this 16th day of writing let's talk about NOT writing 🤭🤭

I typically only use my journals for reflections, letters, sometimes a to-do list but I absolutely LOVE this idea of junk journaling. I have so many craft supplies, watch videos, get inspired and then never do it. I have added singular photos but a nice quote or blob of words but I aspire to do a full spread.

I think I get too much in my head about it being perfect so this weekend I'm going to just do it and see what happens.

Do you do any other form of journaling?! What's your favorite? What's something new you want to try? by @theoddtaebl

Grateful is an understatement. Each rotation around the sun brings new joy, new rhythm, growth and reflection.

Proud of who I am today!!

Happy Birthday to me ✨️💛🥂

My window faces a construction site, interesting to watch them build, annoying when trying to sleep. Most days it's not a problem but on those mornings, after working all night, searching for sleep and quiet... it's too much 🫠

Enjoy this haiku!
Takes some practice but so fun to write

So your heart wants to speak, your spirit says it's time, but your voice isn't fully ready. Grab your pen, lighten your load, and let the paper hold the weight.

This past week in my writing, a lot of similar themes have come up, and I have been called to do a lot of purging. Stating things that I once held to keep the peace, releasing emotions for those no longer here, saying farewell to connects that no longer exist. Literally ALL THE THINGS.

So pick a person, a moment, or yourself and write a letter and release.

Who's ready for the weekend? I'm excited to do some thrifting and fall time crafts with my little one, but once the house is put to bed, it's me time. Time to rest, write, and reset.

What are your plans for the weekend? Want to get some writing in? Feel free to use these prompts and let the pen flow.

Join in on the writing.

New month, no ideas, new rhythm. Happy October, yall!! Today, I woke up late and had to quickly get to my appointment. I could've easily thrown on some leggings or sweats and ran out, but these floral pants gave me an immediate boost in my mood.

Buying new notebooks and writing in those notebooks are two separate hobbies. Fortunately, I am a fan of both!!!

I did not get a new one this time around however, I'm sure that writing every day will fill it faster than I can imagine 😏. I'm looking forward to this becoming a part of my every day rhythm and what will come with being present with myself.
