Our traumas and experiences don’t need to be compared, they just simply are what they are. Nothing grinds my gears worse than hearing a mother tell me she didn’t want to seek help to heal from her birth experience because OTHER people told them it wasn’t that bad! Only you, as the mother, can discern that. If you know you have some healing to do after your birth, whether it was last year or 15 years ago, please considering joining my course which begins NEXT WEEK - there is an online community of like minded women joining, committed to healing and improving their lives πŸ’œ The link to check it out is in my bio! When babes come whenever and wherever they want to come πŸ₯° β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” @monetnicolebirths Babies sometimes come exactly when and how they want to come. One of my clients was planning a waterbirth at the birth center she worked at...but her sweet baby decided to come fast and furious while she was laboring at home. They drove into the birth center to deliver the placenta, which came out only a few minutes after arrival. Along with shock, there was a lot of laughter. Our pregnancies and births can teach us so much about letting go. by @theoxytocinhour
Maternal assisted caesarean sections. Do you know someone that has had one? I would love to see all OBGYNs offer this option to mamas πŸ’œ β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” @purelifegeboortefotografie 🀎 PIEN 28 FEBR 2023 🀎 Twee jaar geleden beviel deze super mama middels een Mother Assisted Sectio.
Love that β€œwe did it!” moment πŸ’œ β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” @monetnicolebirths She trusted her body. She leaned into each new sensation. She birthed her baby with power and confidence. It was a BEAUTIFUL birth to witness...and gently support (babe came just two minutes before midwife walked in the door). Second babies always keep me on my toes. I think out of all birth numbers...they are most often the fastest! by @theoxytocinhour
In between worlds 🌍 What a capture. β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€”β€” @clairedunkley_doula This little one was very happy to hang out while Mumma takes a moment to catch her breath The shower washing over the two of them while the most natural of moments quietly occurs. The birth of the mother and the baby is an intricate dance of hormones. When left undisturbed, birth works. Trust in yourself. Trust in your baby. Trust in the unknown. This is birth ✨ And my goodness it is magic 😍 πŸ“· by me @clairedunkley_doula #birth #naturalbirth #physiologicalbirth #undisturbedbirth #baby #newborn #mother #womensupportingwomen #believe #doula #portmacquariedoula #tareedoula #birthphotography #birthphotographer #photography #thisisbirth by @theoxytocinhour
If there is one piece of advice for those meeting their edges, this is simply it. Coming into a place where they KNOW they are meant to travel, but fear arises, (as it does because we are clever humans and our brains do look for danger in every scenario to keep us β€œsafe”), I encourage them to fear that fear and do it anyway. πŸ’œ #positiveaffirmations #meetingedges #birthprep #parentingprep #feelthefearanddoitanyway by @theoxytocinhour
A clue about the topic of tonight’s released episode … Do you think women should be taught about different positions for birthing in? Image from Pinterest - creator unknown by @theoxytocinhour
