Sari on the rocks 🦚

The sari, an unstitched stretch of woven fabric, is such a simple garment. For many, that simplicity opens up a world of possibilities; of who one can be, how one can be and how we choose to carry ourselves

The concept of climbing in a sari signifies freedom and a cultural movement to me. To be who I want and to own it. As juxtaposed as it may seem, there is power in it. In this moment of being on a climb oceans apart from my home, it gives me a sense of belonging. In this part of the world, it is my identity; an Indian climber.

Shot by the talented @ladylockoff and Ian on belay on a route very fitting to the occasion, No Place Like A Home.

This was my Happy Diwali🪔

🦎🐒 when the climb is great because you bailed, featuring guest instructor; weather.

As we reached the base of pitch 5, it started properly drizzling with a lot of dynamic cloud action overhead. We found the bolt with a mailon which was our sign to start going down instead of up. Made 5 rappels since we only had one 35 mtr rope and and our bail anchors were as bomber as can be😁

On the hike back we reflected on how nice it was, not being on a wet ridge while lightning danced above.

Lucky to have this paradise as a playground and get to come 'home' after a long day of 'playing'.

📍Leg Lake by @thepahadigirl

Lovely two day trip to Leg Lake with Martin. The lake is 10/10, the wall is incredible(y chossier than it looks yet inspiring) and the camping is super tranquilo.

We quested up Zig Zag Sensei, got rained on just as we found the one bolt on top of pitch 4/9, had a very smooth bail-venture and just a great alpine adventure in the Winds.

Would recommend! by @thepahadigirl

10 granite pitches, perfect weather and a party pack of Oreos 🤌🏾 by @thepahadigirl

Throwing back to some of the best memories and moments captured across multiple Suru Fests as it commences in the beautiful valley of Suru. One day I will take myself back there and relive the landscape, feel the valley wind, smell the yaro and be under the milky way with friends talking about nothing and everything and the rocks will be big and make us feel small and someone might lose a tooth at a dance party 🫶🏾

Grateful to have lived the magic of @surufest . Will miss y'all 🫂 @jammyexplores
