Leash Pulling Training for VEERA (BEFORE & AFTER)

Some dog trainers will insist the dog always be at your side or only on your left side, but I don’t agree. Unless you’re showing your dog or doing competitive obedience, it doesn’t matter if he’s behind you, in front of you, or to the side of you, as long as the leash is relaxed. For large and/or strong dogs, it’s best to have the dog on your dominant side to give you a little more strength.

You’ll notice that I don’t have anything about teaching your dog to “heel.” That’s not a oversight, it was intentional. I don’t teach heel. I don’t what a robot dog that sticks to your side like glue – that’s taking the dog out of the dog.

Instead I like dogs to be dogs and enjoy the walk by taking in some of the magnificent scents that they pass. Instead of the heel, I prefer loose leash walking. As long as the leash is relaxed (assuming a six food lead), it doesn’t matter where your dog its – in front, behind or off to the side.

A relaxed leash is the ultimate goal. If there’s tension in the leash, there’s tension in the dog and he has no idea why the tension is there. Often, they will project that tension at whatever is directly in front of them, generally people, or dogs fueling reactive behavior.

1,536 LIVES LOST. 💔🐾

This is not an achievement to celebrate. It is a tragedy that demands compassion, accountability, and change.

Animals are living beings who feel pain and fear. Their lives matter, too.

Population control should mean sterilisation, vaccination, responsible ownership, and humane management — not celebrating the number of lives taken.

A society's humanity is reflected in how it treats those who cannot speak for themselves.

Don't celebrate how many lives were taken. Ask why humane solutions were not enough.

Every life matters. Every life deserves compassion. 🐾💔

After Foxxy, Rambo slowly found his way into a very special place in my heart. ❤️‍🩹🐾

He could never replace Foxxy, because some souls leave footprints that can never be erased. Foxxy will always have his own place in my heart, forever untouched by time.

But Rambo… he has a magic of his own. ✨

Somehow, without even trying, he knows how to calm the storm inside me. When my heart feels heavy and my mind is overwhelmed, his presence brings me a peace that words can never explain. His love reaches places in me that I sometimes struggle to heal myself.

He doesn't ask me to be strong. He doesn't need me to explain my pain. He simply loves me, wholeheartedly, silently, and without conditions.

Perhaps that's the beautiful thing about animals. They never ask us to forget the ones we've lost. They just find their own way to love the parts of us that are still hurting.

Foxxy will always be irreplaceable. And Rambo will always be the unexpected love that helps quiet the storm within me. ❤️🐶

Some bonds cannot be explained. Some love cannot be measured. And some souls come into our lives not to replace anyone, but to remind us that even after heartbreak, our hearts can still feel deeply, love fiercely, and find peace again.

Thank you, Rambo, for loving me in ways I will never be able to fully explain. You have no idea how much your love means to me. ❤️‍🩹🐾

🐾 THE PETS MASTERS | FINAL WALKING TEST 🐾

🐕 Freya (Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) • Luna (English Cocker Spaniel) • Coco (Toy Poodle)

🏆 The final walking test before Freya, Luna, and Coco return home to their owner! 🏡🐾

Today, we assess their leash manners, obedience, focus, responsiveness to commands, and ability to walk calmly and confidently under control.

Our goal is not just to teach dogs how to walk on a leash, but to develop good habits, improve obedience, and build a stronger bond between dogs and their owners.

🎓 Training is only the beginning. Consistency at home is the key to lasting results.

A well-trained dog needs a committed owner who continues reinforcing the training every day. 🐾
