2026 - here we go ✨ I have a strong tendency to finish other people’s thoughts for them — to jump in early, already see where things are headed, and fast-forward to the conclusion. What I’m learning is that when I slow down just enough to let the entire message land — through words, behavior, patterns, and even how things register in my body — clarity shows up on its own. No jumping ahead. No rushing. Just letting the idea finish its sentence… without my help. I’ve always loved resolutions — especially the kind that quietly sharpen how we see the world. Last year, mine was simple: fear less, trust more. This year, it’s even simpler (and painfully on-brand): listen, and trust what I hear. Letting people and situations do the revealing — and trusting what actually shows up. Wish me luck. I’m a talker.
And even though I’m not much of a goals-and-checklists person, breaking 80 is still very much on my list ⛳️😂 by @thepracticefox
Every chiropractor deserves a practice they’re proud of — not chaotic, not confusing, not isolating. 🦊The Practice Fox exists to help early-career docs build sustainable, fulfilling, community-centered practices with clarity and confidence #practicefox #foxtracks #chiropracticbusiness #chiropracticcoach #chiromarketing #chiropracticmentor #chiropracticeducation #chiropracticlife #futurechiro #futurechiropractor by @thepracticefox
Hi 👋 I’m Dr. G — author of The Manual for the Chiropractic Entrepreneur, founder of The Practice Fox, and a chiropractor who’s spent nearly two decades building, refining, and teaching the business of chiropractic. I’ve had the privilege of serving on the USGA Performance & Recovery Team since 2019, teaching in the ACA Pediatrics Diplomate program, and speaking internationally on practice development and pediatric sports care. I was even named the 2025 Women in Leadership Chiropractor of the Year — an honor I still can’t quite believe. But here’s the truth: none of this matters as much as the people in these photos. My family is why I built my practice the way I did, why I teach the way I teach, and why The Practice Fox exists — to help you build a practice that supports your life, your values, and your joy. The fox is my spirit animal - curious, persistent, gritty, strategic, loyal and always one step ahead and 🦊 I want to be be in your mentor circle - dm me or email me at lisa@drlisagoodman.com for anything, anytime 💜 #practicefox #foxtracks #chiropracticbusiness #chiropracticcoach #chiromarketing #chiropracticmentor #chiropracticeducation #chiropracticlife #futurechiro #futurechiropractor by @thepracticefox
Well, ChatGPT isn’t necessarily wrong 😂 Sciatica describes a collection of symptoms, typically pain, tingling, numbness, or other sensations that travel from the lower back or buttock into the leg. So if you describe those symptoms to ChatGPT, don’t be surprised when it suggests sciatica! But here’s the catch: Sciatica tells us WHAT you’re experiencing. It doesn’t necessarily tell us WHY. Disc herniation? Spinal stenosis? Nerve irritation or compression? Something else entirely? Different causes can require very different approaches to treatment. That’s why a thorough history, physical examination, sometimes imaging and clinical judgment matter. Identifying the symptoms is a start. Understanding the cause is how we develop the right treatment plan. And yes if you got to the bottom of this caption, the irony of using ChatGPT to help write a caption about ChatGPT is not lost on me 😂💜 #smarternotharder #Chiropractic #Sciatica #Chiropractor #ClinicalReasoning by @thepracticefox
There’s a much more important question to ask than “what is the base salary?” 💰🔥 I couldn’t help it with this song 😂 When I’m evaluating an associate opportunity, I want to know TWO things: What’s my earning potential, and how FAST can I get there? Give me a practice with exceptional mentorship, the ability to grow my patient base quickly, strong systems, marketing support, and a compensation structure that rewards growth. Now THAT’S an opportunity. A $50K base with the potential to earn $150K in a supportive, thriving practice? I’d take a serious look at that over a $80K salary with $100K potential. The base is where you START. It’s not where you should be focused on finishing. Don’t just negotiate your starting salary. Investigate your earning potential. And make sure the opportunity, patient volume, and compensation formula actually support those projections. 🦊 Evaluating an associate offer? Let’s break down the numbers together in a Fox Cub Strategy Session. Link in bio! #ThePracticeFox #ChiropracticStudents #AssociateChiropractor #FoxCubCoaching by @thepracticefox
A rising tide lifts all ships 🚢 🌊 What a great day at the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic! Sometimes a smaller group leads to the BIGGEST conversations and some rapid fire selfies 📸. Today we went well beyond practice success and business development, diving into some of the division within our profession, the importance of trust and collaboration, and how we create forward momentum TOGETHER. Because when we elevate each other, we elevate the entire profession 🙌 And Connecticut, WOW! 🍁 The fall colors are spectacular! We definitely don’t get leaves like this in Colorado. Fun family history bonus: Everywhere I turn, something is named after my ancestral grandfather, Major General Israel Putnam. Even the tavern at the airport! Apparently, Grandpax7 was kind of a big deal around here 😂 Grateful for the conversations, connections, and a beautiful day in New England! 🦊 #futurechiropractor #chirostudent #chiropractic by @thepracticefox
“When am I EVER going to use this math?” 🙄 Well, future chiropractors, I’ve got some news for you 😂 ∙ Associate compensation ∙ Calculating a fair offer - PS its not all about the “base salary” ∙ Setting rates in your future practice ∙ Income projections ∙ Growth timelines ∙ Initial investment ∙ Monthly expenses ∙ Practice projections Turns out, the math matters! ✈️ Heading to the University of Bridgeport with NCMIC’s Starting Into Practice program to make the numbers a little less intimidating and the future a LOT more exciting. 🦊 Trust Your Vision & Execute Boldly #ThePracticeFox #ChiropracticStudents #StartingIntoPractice #ChiropracticBusiness by @thepracticefox
Who decided that owning a chiropractic practice was the ultimate measure of success? 🤔 Some of the happiest, most successful chiropractors don’t own the building, manage the staff, or worry about payroll. And guess what? They don’t want to. Being an associate isn’t a stepping stone unless YOU want it to be. Being an associate might be an incredible career. 🦊 Not sure which path is right for you? Who decided practice ownership was the ultimate measure of success in chiropractic? 🤔 Not everyone wants to be a business owner. Everyone seems to have an opinion about what YOU should do after graduation. Your classmates are making plans, but just because something is right for them doesn’t mean it’s right for YOU. Your parents probably have some ideas 😂 Your professors have plenty of knowledge, but many aren’t actively building and running practices in today’s world. But here’s the thing. None of them are YOU. Should you become an associate? Open your own practice? And how do you know when you’re ready? There isn’t one right answer. Your next move should reflect YOUR experience, vision, financial situation, goals, dreams, ambitions, and capabilities. And that’s where I come in 🦊 After 20 years of practice ownership, hiring and mentoring associates, and helping future chiropractors navigate these exact decisions, I’ve learned that sometimes what you need isn’t more information. You need someone who knows what questions to ask. Introducing Fox Cub Strategy Sessions! 🦊 One-on-one coaching where we work through your options, challenge your assumptions, identify opportunities, and build a plan that actually makes sense for YOU. Whether you need one conversation or a series of sessions, we’ll figure it out together. Stop asking everyone else what you should do. Let’s figure out what YOU want to build. 📩 Shoot me a DM with FOX CUB and let’s get started! Portland, you brought the ambition! 🦊🔥 Spent today at the University of Western States talking entrepreneurship, career decisions, and life after graduation with nearly 100 future chiropractors, including a fantastic group of Canadian students! 🇨🇦 Some are excited to become associates. Others are dreaming about opening their own practices. But two things kept coming up: 💰 Money. Can I afford to do this? 🤔 Uncertainty. Do I actually know what I’m doing? Here’s what I love about those questions: Both can be addressed with the right tools, education, mentorship, and a solid plan. You don’t have to have everything figured out before you graduate. But you DO need to start asking the right questions and taking ownership of your future. That’s exactly why I love sharing resources like NCMIC’s Starting Into Practice program and my book, The Manual for the Chiropractic Entrepreneur 📘 Because the goal isn’t just to graduate great chiropractors. It’s to help them become dangerously ambitious, well-prepared professionals who are ready to build something exceptional 🦊 Thank you, University of Western States, for a fantastic day and some incredible conversations! 5 things the dangerously ambitious do differently 🦊 1. They start building a practice before they have one. They’re introducing themselves to business owners, coaches, trainers, and other healthcare providers while their classmates are still wondering where they’ll work after graduation. Your future patients are already out there. Go meet them. 2. They know their numbers before they know their office address. How many patients can you see in an hour? What will you charge? How many visits will it take to cover your overhead? How much do you actually want to take home? The dangerously ambitious don’t just dream about a successful practice. They reverse-engineer one. 3. They don’t wait to be invited into the room. They ask to shadow successful doctors. They introduce themselves to speakers. They attend events where they don’t know a soul. They ask questions other people are too intimidated to ask. Opportunity rarely knocks on the door of someone nobody knows. 4. They turn NOs into YESes. They’re willing to have uncomfortable conversations, challenge misconceptions, and face rejection because every door they open is an opportunity to elevate their practice AND the chiropractic profession. 5. They are willing to be embarrassingly bad at something before becoming exceptional at it. Their first networking conversation might be awkward. Their first presentation might be terrible. Their first marketing campaign might fail. They don’t take that as a sign to stop. They get better and do it again. Being dangerously ambitious isn’t about dreaming bigger than everyone else. It’s about being willing to do the things everyone else keeps putting off. Portland, let’s get to work. 🦊🔥 The Practice Fox 🦊 Trust Your Vision & Execute Boldly 💜 ThePracticeFox.com 🔗 Students!
