POSTS STORIES REELS

I stopped posting for almost a month. What happened next taught me more than another month of posting ever could.

When I first started building online, I thought consistency was the answer.

So I posted every day.
Showed up in Stories.
Tried the trends.
Created the freebie.

And still… barely anyone downloaded the freebie.

Sales? Zero.

Eventually I realised:

Being consistent doesn’t automatically mean you’re building the right thing.

If my content wasn’t attracting the right person, my messaging wasn’t speaking to what she needed and I didn’t have a system behind it…

I was creating more content for a business that depended on me being there.

So I started building differently.

I stopped focusing on how much I could post and asked:

Who is this for?
What does she need?
What moves her forward?

Then life gave me the test I never planned for.

I stepped away from my feed for almost a month.

No reels.
No carousels.

Life simply became too much.

But this time…

The business didn’t go down with me.

I still showed up in Stories. People still found my content. Conversations still happened.

And during those 3+ weeks, I made $52.14 in sales.

Not because I worked harder.

Because I had finally started building differently.

What it taught me was this:

The goal isn’t to build a business that works when you’re at your best.

It’s to build one that keeps moving when life asks you to step away.

Because life will get loud. Kids will need you. Some seasons take everything you have.

I never want to choose between being present for my life and keeping my business alive.

The right system means the work you’ve already done can keep working for you.

So if you’ve already had that first little win… but can’t seem to make it happen consistently… Please don’t assume you need to work harder.

Maybe you need to build differently.

That’s what I’m doing now and what I want to help you figure out too, comment COMEBACK if you’re ready to stop starting over every time life gets loud.

There’s no rulebook for building a business as a mom.

Half the time we’re doing it between snack negotiations, school runs and whispering “please just nap” under our breath

But one thing I’ve learned?

Success isn’t just strategy.
It’s habits.
It’s character.
It’s the way you show up when no one’s watching.

I’m a woman of faith and yes, I’m human too.
I mess up.
I restart.
I forget.
I try again.

But these are the habits I keep coming back to because they anchor me.

They remind me that building a business isn’t just about income…
it’s about who I’m becoming in the process.

And if you’re growing something from the middle of a loud, messy, beautiful life?

These habits make everything feel lighter.
Simpler.
More intentional.

✨ The truth?
You don’t have to be perfect to grow.
You just have to keep trying with heart, with purpose and with God guiding the rest.

If this hit you even a little…
comment HABIT below so I know I’m not the only one learning as I go 🤍

I want to be able to handle the little things without every unexpected expense becoming a whole conversation in my head.

There’s something about this time of year that makes me think about that even more.

Christmas is coming.
The boys need things.
School is winding down.
There are gifts, groceries, outings and all the little expenses that seem to multiply at the end of the year.

When I think about making money online, I think about breathing room.

The kind of income where an unexpected expense doesn’t automatically mean I need to rethink everything else.

Where I can say yes to something for my boys without immediately calculating what has to come out of somewhere else.

And honestly, that is a big part of why I keep building this even when my days are already full.

Five boys.
Two little ones still needing me constantly.
A house that doesn’t magically run itself.
And a business that has to fit into the little pockets of time I actually have.

I used to think building an income would require a completely different life.

More time.
More consistency.
More hours at my laptop.

But I’m learning I can build differently.

A huge part of that has been learning what actually goes through a buyer’s mind before she decides to spend her money.

I understand that very differently now than I did during those 8 months of posting and hoping something would finally work.

And that shift is part of what took me from 8 months with no sales to 16 sales in 6 months.

I’m still building.

Still figuring it out.

Still doing it in the middle of motherhood.

I want to build a business that gives me more options inside the life I already have.

If you want to build an income that gives you more comment ROOM and I’ll show you where wish I started.

There’s something I’ve been learning as a mom and as a woman building something of my own.

I can love the life I have, be grateful for my family and still want more for us.

More breathing room financially.
More freedom with my time.
More opportunities to say yes to the little things without having to work out what it will cost us somewhere else.

For a while, I think I underestimated how much those things mattered to me.

But wanting to contribute more to my family and build something of my own doesn’t take away from the gratitude I have for the life I’m living now.

My faith reminds me that I don’t have to have the whole journey figured out to keep moving forward.

I can keep praying for what’s on my heart, do the work in front of me and have faith through the parts I can’t see yet.

Some days, progress looks like a sale.

Other days, it looks like learning something new in the little pockets of time motherhood gives me.

Both days count.

If you’re building something while raising your babies, managing your home and holding onto hopes you haven’t reached yet, don’t feel guilty for wanting more.

You can be grateful for today and still have faith in what you’re working towards.

Comment FAITH if you’re holding onto a dream while trusting the process.

One of the biggest skills you can develop in digital marketing is learning to write with intention.

Because there’s a difference between sitting down to write a caption and knowing what you want that caption to accomplish.

Is it helping someone understand an idea?
Is it challenging an assumption she’s been carrying?
Is it showing her why the solution you offer is worth considering?

Every piece of content has a job to do.

I didn’t always approach my writing this way. I spent so much time trying to come up with things to post that I gave less thought to the thinking behind the words.

Learning buyer psychology helped me understand that writing persuasive content involves much more than putting together a good hook and explaining an offer.

It means understanding what influences a buying decision and choosing words that communicate value, address hesitation and give someone a reason to take the next step.

Because the words you choose can be the difference between someone simply consuming your content and someone considering what you have to offer.

And that’s why learning the thinking behind your words matters.

Comment “WORDS” if you’re ready to become more intentional with the content you create and learn how to use your messaging to support your sales.

You can write a genuinely good post and still give someone absolutely no reason to choose you.

I learned that the hard way.

For eight months, I kept trying to figure out why my content wasn’t connecting the way I wanted it to.

I thought I needed a better idea.

A better hook.

Another strategy.

Meanwhile, having five boys was giving me a daily lesson in something I was missing completely.

The same sentence can mean five different things to five different people.

Because they each hear it through their own little world.

Their own thoughts.
Their own needs.
Their own reasons for responding.

And buyers are no different.

Think about how much time you can spend explaining your offer, listing what’s included and sharing all the reasons someone should want it…

only to watch someone choose another creator selling something similar.

You know your offer has value.

But have you given her a reason to see why it’s the right choice for her?

The woman reading your content isn’t sitting there admiring how well you’ve explained your offer.

She’s trying to work out whether you understand her problem.

Whether your approach makes sense for her.

Whether you can help with the thing she’s been struggling to figure out.

And here’s where I was going wrong.

I was so focused on explaining what I was offering that I wasn’t giving enough thought to what would make the right woman choose me.

I could list the benefits.

Explain what she’d learn.

Tell her what was included.

But none of that automatically made my offer feel like the right choice for her.

You have to understand what’s happening in her mind before she buys.

The hesitation she hasn’t said out loud.

The frustration behind the problem.

The reason she’s still looking for answers even after consuming everyone else’s content.

Because when you understand that, you stop writing content that simply sounds good.

You start writing words that make the right person recognise herself.

Give the right buyer a reason to choose you.

Comment POSITION and I’ll show you what I changed to help buyers see why my offer was worth choosing.

There were nights I closed the app and told myself this just wasn’t for me.

Not dramatically.

Just tired.

The kind of tired where quitting feels like relief.

I didn’t wake up the next morning suddenly full of certainty.

I just took the next step.

And maybe that’s what faith looks like sometimes.

Not feeling brave.

Not knowing exactly how it will unfold.

Just trusting enough to keep moving when you can’t see the whole road.

Because I’m not building this just to say I have a business.

I want to be able to say yes without immediately calculating what it’s going to cost.

I want an unexpected expense to be an inconvenience not something that throws the whole month off.

I want to be there for the stories they tell me the second they walk through the door.

The things they’re excited to show me.

The ordinary days I know I’ll wish I could have back one day.

And I want my boys to grow up knowing their mom was there for the ordinary stuff too.

That’s what keeps me going when the numbers aren’t where I want them to be.

Because I’m not just building a business.

I’m building towards a life where I don’t have to keep choosing between the money we need and the moments I never get back.

Some seasons don’t feel like faith.

They still are.

Comment FAITH if you want to see how I’m learning to hold onto my faith while building a better future for my boys.

Yes I WANT to make real money from this!!

Not vague “financial freedom” money that sounds good on Instagram.

I mean the kind that means groceries don’t require mental maths at the till.

The kind where an unexpected dentist appointment doesn’t immediately have me wondering what else can wait until next month.

I want that.

But I also want to be at pickup.

I want to be there for the ordinary stuff.

The things that probably won’t feel important until I look back and realise those were the years.

And for a while, I genuinely thought I had to choose.

More money meant more of my time.

More freedom meant working harder.

Being present meant accepting that financially, things would probably stay much the same.

I don’t believe that anymore.

But wanting both and actually figuring out how to build for both are two very different things.

So I’ve been learning how to make the little pockets of time I actually have count.

How to create content with a purpose.

How to understand what makes someone choose me when there are a hundred other people saying similar things.

How to build a business around what actually moves the needle instead of just filling my feed because I feel like I should be posting.

That’s a big part of what I’m working through right now.

And honestly, having the right foundation has made figuring it out so much less overwhelming.

Because I don’t just want to make money online.

I want to understand how to build something that can keep making money without requiring me to give up the life I’m trying to create it for.

That’s the goal.

The money.

The freedom.

The pickup.

The ordinary Tuesday.

The breathing room.

Both.

If you want to see the exact foundation I’m using to build for both, comment POWER and I’ll show you. 🤍

“Just let me know if you have any questions!” 🙈

I’ve definitely said this before.

Someone would show interest in an offer, I’d answer what she asked, send through the details and then end the conversation there because I didn’t want to feel like I was pushing her.

And then… nothing.

I’d sit there wondering whether she was still thinking about it, whether she’d changed her mind or whether I’d missed something in the conversation.

But sometimes, “I’ll think about it” is a sign that there’s still something she needs to work through before she feels comfortable making a decision.

Maybe she isn’t sure it’ll work for her.

Maybe she understands the offer but isn’t convinced it’s the right fit for where she is right now.

Maybe there’s a concern she hasn’t actually said out loud yet.

And this is where I think we can get the DM conversation wrong.

We answer the question, send the information, then hand the whole decision back to her.

Instead, pay attention to what she’s already told you.

The words she uses.

The hesitation behind the question.

The reason she gives for needing time.

Those little details can tell you what she may need help understanding next.

What helps is knowing how to recognise when someone is genuinely considering your offer and how to guide the conversation from there.

Because answering questions is one skill.

Knowing what to do when someone hesitates is another.

If your DMs are getting conversations but you’re struggling to turn that interest into sales, comment GAP and I’ll show you how to close that gap.

I know what it’s like to put effort into a post, explain an offer, tell people everything they’ll get and hope that’s enough reason for someone to buy.

I used to think the more I explained what was inside the more reasons she had to say yes.

But the person reading your post has her own thoughts about spending her money.

She might be wondering whether it’ll work for her.

She might love what’s included but feel unsure whether she’ll know how to use it.

Or she might have bought something similar before and need to understand why this one is worth considering.

And if your content only talks about what’s included and how good the offer is, you could be missing the very thing she needs help with before she feels ready to decide.

So when you sit down to write, ask what your audience might still be unsure about.

That gives you something much more meaningful to create content around. You can speak to a concern, explain something she may not have considered or help her see how the offer could fit into her situation.

People don’t all make buying decisions for the same reasons and understanding buyer psychology can change the way you write your content.

There are 7 steps a buyer takes before she’s ready to buy. Knowing which one she’s on helps you decide what to say and what she may need to hear next.

If you’re tired of guessing what to say in your content, comment STEPS and I’ll send you the 7 steps.

I forgot how good it feels to want something for myself.

To have an idea and actually feel excited about it.

To sit down and think about what I want to create next, where I want my business to go and what I want to make possible for our family.

Lately, life has needed so much of me.

Between everything that needed dealing with, the people I needed to be there for and everything happening behind the scenes, my business hasn’t had as much of my time and attention as I’d have liked.

And I missed it.

I missed having the headspace to work on my content, think through my next move and feel fully present in something that means so much to me.

But somewhere in the middle of everything, I realised how much I still want this.

I want to grow this business and create the freedom and choices I’ve always hoped it could bring our family.

I want to see what I can build when I have the space to give it my attention.

I love my boys.

I love this life.

And still, I missed her.

The woman who had ideas nobody asked her for.

The woman who got excited about things simply because they excited her.

The woman who had something of her own she wanted to grow.

I’m finding my way back to that part of me and I’m giving myself the space to do it one step at a time.

There are seasons where you don’t need another plan.

You need to breathe.

The last few months have felt like that for me.

Somewhere between trying to keep life moving and trying to build something I genuinely love, I lost my spark.

Every time I sat down to work, something else needed me.

A child.
A bill.
The house.

Real life.

And when you’re already carrying financial pressure after losing your job, constantly choosing between today and the future you’re trying to build gets heavy.

Eventually, I remembered why I started.

I pulled myself together.

I started posting again. Engaging. Being present.

And slowly, something shifted.

My page views went up. My Story views went up.

But more importantly, I started feeling like myself again.

Then my grandmother’s health declined after we lost my uncle.

This time, there wasn’t really a decision to make.

I chose her.

I gave her every spare minute I had. I cared for her. I sat with her. I did what I could.

And I don’t regret choosing her. Not for one second.

But when she passed, I found myself staring at this business again with that horrible feeling in my stomach.

How do I come back from this?

Every time I get my head in the game, something happens.

Every time I start building momentum, life pulls me somewhere else.

And yes, I’ve wondered:

Is this really going to be my life?

Start. Stop. Start again.

But there’s this little part of me that won’t let go.

Maybe it’s stubbornness.
Maybe it’s faith.
Maybe it’s both.

I don’t know exactly how this is going to work out.

But I still believe it can.

I believe choosing my grandmother didn’t mean choosing against my future.

And maybe the pauses haven’t erased the progress.

Maybe they’re just part of how I get there.

So I’m coming back.

A little tired. A little bruised. Still carrying a lot.

But still here.
Still building.
Still believing.
