I wrote ‘The Way I Love You’ during one of the hardest transitions of my life…
It started as a whisper of self-worth.
Now it’s a full-blown anthem.

OUT NOW EVERYWHERE!!!! 💛

Back when the music was good, the fits were unforgettable, and the vibes were EVERYTHING! 🪩🔥

We understood the assignment. 90s style, all night energy!

Celebrating two birthdays in one weekend is a lot of work, but somebody’s gotta do it! 😝

Cherish your friends, the real ones, the ones that treat you the same in your face and behind your back, because those are hard to come by!

A time was had with the birthday girls, @miss_shana_nicole and @bribriculbee 💋 🎉 ♥️ by @therealbreeduval

Let’s talk about the people who recognize your value but would rather keep you accessible than see you become everything you’re capable of being. 👀

Sometimes people know your worth. They see your potential. They know what you bring to the table. But they also know they can’t afford to meet you where you’re going… so instead of helping you get there, they try to keep you where you are.

And the wild part? They don’t always do it by tearing you down. Sometimes it looks like withholding opportunities, discouraging your growth, keeping you a secret, or making you feel like you’re asking for too much when you’re simply asking for what you deserve.

But somebody else’s inability to afford your value is not a reason for you to discount yourself.

You weren’t meant to be kept small just because somebody else is comfortable with the version of you they can access.

Know your worth. Recognize the difference between someone who wants to grow with you and someone who just wants to keep you within reach.

And when the door opens? WALK THROUGH IT. Don’t shrink. Don’t apologize. Don’t look back for permission. 💋

Things grief taught me about myself that I never expected…

1. I’m learning to live for today because tomorrow isn’t promised, without living in constant anxiety about what tomorrow might bring.

2. I can be soft even with the weight of the world on my shoulders. What I’ve been through doesn’t have to harden me.

3. Grief made me want MORE out of life, not less. When you understand just how precious life is, settling for a life that doesn’t fulfill you hits differently.

4. I have the power to heal. I may not get to choose everything that happens to me, but I have a say in how I move forward.

5. I have more compassion for people who are hurting because I understand that sometimes the people who look the strongest are carrying things nobody knows about.

6. Grief didn’t make me run from love. It made me run TO it. Life is too precious to let the fear of losing something keep me from experiencing the beauty of having it.

7. Joy and sorrow can exist in the same heart. I can still laugh, get dressed up, dream big, make plans, fall in love, and be excited about my future while carrying the weight of what I’ve lost.

8. I don’t want to spend the rest of my life just surviving. I want to experience it. Fully. Intentionally. While I’m here.

9. Healing doesn’t mean I stop missing what I’ve lost. It means I’m learning how to keep living, loving, and becoming while I carry it.

10. I’m not interested in becoming so guarded that nothing can hurt me. I want to become secure enough in myself to keep my heart open anyway.

Grief changed me. But it didn’t take away my desire to live, my capacity to love, or my belief that beautiful things are still possible for me. ❤️

One thing life is teaching me is that not every piece belongs where I want it to. And the longer I spend trying to force it, the longer it takes me to see where it actually fits.

People included.

Sometimes we get so caught up in who we want someone to be, what we wish a relationship could look like, or how we thought something was supposed to work out that we keep forcing pieces that were never meant to go there.

And all that forcing will have you questioning yourself, questioning them, and exhausting yourself trying to make something make sense.

But what if the answer isn’t to try harder? What if it’s to stop forcing it?

Let people show you who they are. Let situations reveal what they are. And have enough trust in yourself to stop trying to make the wrong pieces fit.

Because the sooner you stop forcing people into places they don’t belong, the sooner you can recognize where they do belong… and make room for the pieces you’ve been missing.

Not every piece is a missing piece. Some pieces just belong somewhere else. 🧩

Sometimes the thing you keep complaining about is waiting on you to make a different move.

Stop waiting for it to change.
Stop waiting for them to change.
Stop waiting to feel ready.

It won’t stop until you stop it. So… what you gonna do about it?
