POSTS STORIES REELS

This is a really vulnerable post for me, but I’ve been told lately that my story could change people’s lives and if there’s even a chance of that, I think I need to embrace the uncomfortable.

My childhood is a huge part of why I am the way I am, and why I create the things I do. There’s so much of my story I couldn’t possibly fit into one post, but I hope the little pieces I shared are enough to paint a picture of what I went through. I know there are a few heavy things in there but despite all of the pain and suffering… I genuinely wouldn’t change a thing.

Every single moment brought me here 🤍

I turn 33 in a few days, and I think this is the most connected I’ve ever felt to my work, to myself, and to the reason I started creating in the first place. I hope my story can inspire others, and I hope I get the chance to keep creating meaningful pieces forever.

If this resonates with you, sharing it helps my work reach someone else who might need a reminder that they’re not alone.

And if you’ve been following my work and think we need to create something beautiful together someday, leave me a 🤍 below.

Love you guys so much.

This project deserves a full post 🤍 scroll through for all the closeups and magic.
Painted are two separate walls coming together through the lines on the ceiling. This walkway was created for @sinclairatpalmpointe for their residents to enjoy before entering the pool area. Can’t get over how much fun I had on this one ✨ Fun fact: this is my 3rd mural I used spray paint on and I’m officially obsessed. I’m so proud of my growth with it.

This mural wasn’t originally supposed to look like this.

For years I’ve created paintings I call my passion pieces. They explore some of the darkest, hardest, and most transformative moments in my life. I create them to help me process, heal, and make sense of what I’m feeling.

When I found out I’d been selected for this festival, I originally planned to paint something completely different.

A few days before leaving, I found out my cat of 14 years has cancer. Combined with a few other things life has thrown my way lately, I felt like I was suffocating. The last few months have been filled with things completely out of my control and that news really rocked me.

So I changed the design. Instead of creating something pretty for the sake of it, I decided to turn this wall into the largest passion piece I’ve ever made. Up until now, all of them have lived on canvas 😭

A lot of people saw different things in the cracks and movement throughout the mural and I love that. I didn’t even see lightning until everyone started asking about it lol. For me, they represented energy. Recharging. Rejuvenation. A reminder of the strength I possess.

It’s sweet though because so many people connected with it. It reminded me that I need to make more things from my soul 💓

Again, thank you so much @mural.mania @dtsouthbend and @alex_ann_allen for the opportunity. I’m so grateful my artistic expression was trusted and given a place in the community!! by @therealmelpoz

Sorry but having a mural in your home is just SO elite 💅🏻

It always feels like the biggest honor when someone trusts me to create something in their sacred space. And considering sunflowers are my favorite flowers, this one was extra exciting for me 🥹🌻💞 big thank you to Desmond & Jade for the opportunity!

Struggled getting the perfect shots in the garage, but hopefully you get the gist!

Fast little sunflower piece I did for my clients garage 🥰🌻 She’s turning it into her little she den and I’m so happy I could have the honor of contributing to her safe space!

Manifesting more floral murals in the near future 👀🙏

Of course there are honorable mentions:

Since I switched my wall… I had to switch my lift… but good thing it was Labor Day and everything was closed so I had to start 2 days later.

I spent hours the first day putting plastic everywhere… but because it was so hot it came right off 🤣

Because I wasn’t thinking of the wind & dirt I almost went blind on Day 1 of painting. Obviously I’m being dramatic, but I did have to flush my eyes out several times and run to a pharmacy in hysterics lmao

I only share these videos because I think it’s important to know all the craziness that goes into a final piece. Not every project is easy breezy beautiful CoverGirl.

The BIGGEST shout outs to @dia_downtownhobbs for taking THE GREATEST care of me. From getting me a light tower, to helping me cool off, they went above and beyond. My paint wizard and neighbor @chous_chouz who was everything to me and @doc_rios00 for saving me and the extra hand I desperately needed on the last night!!! Love you guys and I’m so grateful 🤍

When I was asked to paint Dolly, I originally declined. I didn’t want to come off as inauthentic or feel like I was just becoming a part of a trend. Once I was told how much the community wanted it and how much it meant to the building owner, I changed my mind *so grateful I did*

It meant so much to me to be able to create this for them after hearing how much they truly cared about her. It’s really important to me to make impactful work and create things that make people feel. And Dolly sure does 😭

Since her passing, I’ve learned so much more about her legacy, her activism, philanthropy, and all of the incredible things she has done for others. What an icon. Our angel. The kind of person that changes the world. We could all really learn from her.

I feel really appreciative that this mural gave me the chance to learn more about who she was beyond just being Dolly Parton and to create something that has now become one of my favorites. I really look up to this woman now 🤍

Made for @dia_downtownhobbs on @cleos1885 ✨ special thank you to @doc_rios00 for the help and making this happen!!!!

It’s been a few days since I painted Dolly and I didn’t know how to introduce her to you guys. I feel so attached to this mural now.

It really was a labor of love and throughout the entire process I had people cry to me, show up wearing Dolly shirts, and tell me stories about how she inspired them. It was so sweet and wholesome.

What an absolute honor to be able to paint her 🤍 The light flare, butterfly, and roses all hold symbolism in how I wanted to portray her and I could only hope I did Dolly so much justice.

The biggest thank you to @dia_downtownhobbs for choosing me as an artist for this festival and trusting me to create something so important. Between all of the artists and organizers, it was something really special.

& on Day 3 of @mural.mania we finished this beauty 💖

Since I’m still pretty new to spray paint, I originally thought this piece would take me longer to complete. The forecast for the rest of my trip was showing rain though, so I absolutely powered through to get her done in time.

Honestly, I’m really proud of myself for how fast I finished this one. Every time I paint a mural with spray, I fall a little more in love with the medium. It’s been so much fun learning what’s possible with it. I had the time of my life creating this 😩😩😩💓💓💓

There’s so much I want to tell you guys about why I designed and painted her, but I’ll save that story for the next post 🫶🏼
