Hi, I’m Erica! I’m a neurodivergent creative on a journey I think many of us are on - a journey to cling to joy and keep really living, even when things feel bleak. For me, my journey really took off in 2025. I began the year by dubbing it my “Year of Scary Things”. I had one resolution only - to go do the things that freaked me out or activated my fear of being perceived. I thought it’d lead to a few little breakthroughs and lessons to carry forward in life, but nothing extreme. I WAS SO WRONG. I’ve met so many awesome and inspiring human beings. I also discovered after almost 20 years of not sewing that I still had the sewing bug within me. I completed fitness challenges, made costumes for events, spoke to people I would’ve been too shy to and forged friendships rooted in community. Stepping out of my comfort zone has transformed my life and put me back in touch with myself while leading me to spaces where I can feel a real sense of belonging. My year of scary things is now simply my default mode and one of the things I’ve resisted most is sharing what I create, so here we are! This space will be my space to share the things I create, especially sewing projects. It may grow from there one day (I also like to make music! You can find me under the name “Moonsign” on streaming platforms). Regardless, I hope you enjoy it here if you choose to stay and maybe it’ll inspire you to begin YOUR year of scary things. The world is a better place when we do and share what we love. 🖤 by @therealmoferica
The photos are in! Professional shots from the @whimsy.forge and @always.bookd fantasy fashion show, Daughters of Flame, captured beautifully by @finsandfairies (minus my selfies in my dress at the end 😆) This was a DREAM COME TRUE! The corn rustles, but tonight, our paths converge between the stalks. From Spanish moss and saltwater tides to thorns, simmered kettles, and quiet communion with the veil. From starlit skies and ancient tomes to pure ‘90s defiance...our magic runs through entirely different realms, but our roots meet right here in the field. Different crafts. One harvest moon. Meet the Whimsy Witches of the Corn. 🌙🍂✨ The Coven: 💀 Death: @therealmoferica 🌾 Southern Gothic / Swamp: @finandfantasy 🌹 Rose / Flower: @nat.elena 🌊 Sea: @raine.of.shadows 🧪 Kitchen / Potionmaker: @realms.of.rianai 📜 Bookish: @whimsybee13 🖤 ‘90s: @autumnjimison 🫖 Tea: @gearsoftimedesigns ✨ Celestial: @artefaye by @therealmoferica

Another Dragon Gauntlet comes to a close. 🥹 These weekends are always so incredible! Reconnecting with friends and making new ones, working as a team, seeing everyone’s creativity and passion, all of it just inspires me so much. I’m already looking forward to next year! Our graduating class is gonna be a good one! 😆💕 Thank you to @acourtofrainandrevelry for hosting this incredible event! And shout out to my @whimsy.forge family for being amazing and supportive! by @therealmoferica
It’s that time of year again! 🐉🔥 You’ve still got time to join the Dragon Rider Challenge with @whimsy.forge ! #whimsyforge #dragonriderchallenge #dragongauntlet by @therealmoferica
Still obsessed with this dress I made for the @whimsy.forge fashion show back in March and feeling eager to wear it to @ohiorenfest at some point (and maybe even @gen_con?)! Anyone else planning to go to either this season? (Also, anyone else’s cat fascinated by their swords? 😂) by @therealmoferica
My creative director is all up in my business as I draw up my next project… Anyone else’s cat do this? 😆 by @therealmoferica
